I have been stuck on this site since I found it about 2 weeks ago. All the stories, some similar(trial payments, run around, call back in X days bs) and some successful, with Citi has given me hope for all my hardwork thus far! I am done spinning in the wheel! My situation: I have been denied any government assistance modifications HAMS because their tool says so(even though my DTI is 33%), blah blah! But last Friday 7/24 on my 200th call throughout process, I found out I pre qualify for a traditional loan modification through Fannie Mae (which should be better?). Citi said I had been assigned a Citi conselor, Stephanie Wakle the 7/15, and I should be hearing from Fannie Mae rep. in a few days.... Stephanie has never contacted me nor does she have a direct line or email to contact her? How convienent, hopefully I will be home when I get THE CALL?? How do I know what I was told is even true, I can't afford to wait much longer! I emailed the homeownerhelp@citi.com address. Should I give it another day b4 I contact the #1-866-255-3901, do I contact NACA?

OK, I would definitely call that number ASAP. I recommend NACA to people who need that help and may not want to deal with not knowing because when you hand your loan modification over you kind of get left in left field and may get misinformation. But NACA has always been great and done a lot of great work and mods for homeowners.

To all of those that are trying to get a modification be ready to wait a long time to get the ball rolling! I have been dealing with Citi since March and have gotten no further then day one. After speaking to half of Citi, I now have been in contact with Derek from the executive dept., the number provided, but still has been a few weeks and still have not heard anything! Trying to get through but the same routine, there always busy or call back in a week if you have not heard from us.... Good luck to those that are in the same process! I will report back with any results I recieve.
