So we were approved for a trial mod on June 11th. We were told we had to make the payment by July 11th and not to be late or we would be disqualified. We made the modified payment on July 9th, even got a confirmation number. The payment has already cleared our account as well.
We called today because we still haven't gotten out paperwork. We spoke to Aubrey who tells us the payment for the first trial payment is due August 1st, we were like WHAT??? We explained what we were previously told. Aubrey told us we were preapproved on June 11th but due to high volume it wasn't processed until July 8th, this is why the payment is not due until August.
When we asked about the now missing July payment and its effect on our credit, she said they will put that payment at the back of the loan and that they have done this for many others. I asked again about credit reporting during the trial and she said some agencies are reporting a forebearance on the account and others aren't showing anything.
She told us to expect the paperwork soon, it is taking 5-6 weeks due to high volume blah, blah, blah. We are supposed to call her when we get the papaerwork, she says to make sure we return what they are asking for within 30 days. I really hope afer all the trouble and heartache we get this mod permanently.
