Ok, I started a new thread cause now I have a new problem. Sergio successfully modified our mortgage in May. I sent in the signed paperwork, money required and everything. My first payment is due Aug 1 in the amount of 4066.00

Ok, my account online reflects 18,000 plus in back payments which I find out is being reported to credit companies. Our credit has fallen from 750 to 450. I was promised no reporting.

I called Cititmortage just now and they are argueing their is no modification in place. What do I do?????

UPDATE: Just spoke to Sergio. Seems our modification which we signed for months ago and sent 4500.00 in with....was not approved and no one called us and he does not know why. And to top it off the 4500 is missing, no one knows where it is. He is looking into it.

If your payment isn't due until August, what paperwork did you send in? I ask because most of us get the UPS deliverd packet AFTER our first payment is sent in, but within 30 days of the second payment. Did you just send your packet in? When did you make your payment?

Yes, I sent in the paperwork in beginning of May with the money.

If it is only your credit score that is the problem, it is my understanding your payments will be reflected after all 3 are made no matter what they said on the phone. They can go back & make changes to prior months reporting after the original "late" report, it has happened to me with another bank and my credit score immediately reflected it. Also, my paper outlines something about how they will keep it delinquent until the 3 payments..but I don't have the papers in front of me.

Citi "misplaced" a payment that I made (prior to modification process), it was a automatic payment made from my savings account. I sent in a copy of my statement showing that the payment was made to Citi. Do you have a copy of the canceled check? They did find my payment after about 1 week. I faxed over my info to the Payment Research Dept, if you have not contacted them maybe you should. As far as the modification process, did you keep a copy for yourself? When you mailed in your paperwork and payment did you sent it signature required or delivery confirmation? I am confused that you were approved in May but the payment not due till August. I was told in May I was approved but they told me the payment was due within 30 days after being approved, which was June 22. Good luck with this!
