We at Loan Safe believe 100% that this is true and will help facilitate this via Citi's new forum. |

I told them how I had been laid off for about four months and everything was getting tougher. First I was told I would be put on a forbearance to modification program. And the papers would come in the mail within two weeks. Well of course nothing ever came. When my next payment was due I called. They told me they no longer did that type of modification because of the new HMP. Just when Citi ran the numbers I was told I did not qualify for that either. Well I have read every thing I can find out about the new Obama plan and see no reason why I do not qualify. Now I am locked out of making payments online. And today there is a note on the front page of my account. 06/03/2009 Your request is in process. We are actively reviewing your information, please expect the review process to take approximately 30 business days. We appreciate your patience during this time and look forward to helping you find a mortgage solution to manage your financial needs. I was just about to contact NACA hoping they could help, I am not about to pay anyone for help till I am ready to file BK. |

Citi is actively trying to help people, but it appears that you may have been caught in the jugger naught of loss mitigation. You are on the right track and just have to keep on top of this daily and weekly until you get help. I think calling NACA was wise and waiting till you need to file BK is also smart. Obviously you have done your homework.

There has to be more information and good folks here then any other site I have seen. Actually I have not contacted NACA yet. I was just about to when Sergio said everything is going to be reviewed in house. So we will see. If I was even able to work six months out of the year right now for the money I made in 2008, none of this would even be needed. 510 foreclosed home's a month on the average in my city of 33500 homes. This is up from 30 homes a year ago. |

I started it in the summer of 2007 and it has grown a lot with the help of all the members and moderators. OK, I know of Sergio and a few homeowners have received great help from him. Just keep in mind that there are thousands and thousands of people just like you trying to get help. Meaning, that they will always be inundated, busy and they are human. They may drop the ball when there are just too many balls to handle. Your job is to make sure they don't drop it and if they do, your right there handing it back to them. The crisis will get worse before it gets better. Expect another 2 years of this before we see some calm waters. Please keep us posted and I wish you the best!

In April they told me I qualified for HAMP. Said all they needed was the appraisal. Three times the appraisal was requested and closed out without an appraisal being done...reason? We don't qualify for HAMP! Our DTI ratio on our first is 25%. Only when you add in our 2nd does it come up to 38% and so we don't qualify. Citi has been telling me all these months I qualify for HAMP and that I would get a rate of about 4.5%. Now I cannot get the origianl person who was working on my original request for a modification to call me back. We also had the same statement on our online account that you found. That was 2 months ago. One of the reps even told me that other reps were lying to me just to get me off the phone. Hows that for making a good effort to help? I don't buy it. |
