Chase Loan Mod

My husband and I own our home that is on an 80/20. The first is with Chase the second with our bank as a home equity line of credit. My husband was transferred with his job to a different state and we had to move and rent a new house in that state. We have talked to the Hope program and have gone through the credit counseling. They supposedly are going to submit the info to Chase with a recommendation. I have contacted Chase and I get the run around and eventually got disconnected. We have renters now in our home but we still have to come up with $550 per month to make up for the difference in what they pay and our house payment. We owe 228,000 on our home that we can sell for about 175,000. How do we go about trying to refinance or lower our interest rate of 6.625. This rate is set to adjust in 2011. Chase is not very cooperative. Thanks for the help.

HI kmt300,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for joining...................

The HOPE counselors have their own contact numbers for the lenders..........so you would just need to follow up with the counselor first to find out when the recommendation is submitted and then follow up with Chase at that time..........

Cldwellb02,
Did you meet with a councelor at Hope Now? We did a budget workout with them which they submitted to our mortgage company along with their recommendations. They also gave me advice on what my next steps should be. I'm willing to try anything to get help on my loan. =)
