Re: Chase Modification after Chapter 13 confirmation Florida

Chanly,
They sent me my packet which was received on May 27 (was dated May 22) with the first due date for June 1 only four days later and the 1st was on a Sunday. There was no way I could possibly mail it back to them by that date unless I fed ex it out within less than 24 hours. My attorney told me to to tell them to correct it. They refused. I filed a complaint against them with the TARP people. The negotiator told me you have 30 days from that due date to pay. So you are going to get your packet 10-15 days after the due date set? That is a bunch of BS. Make a copy of the fed ex label that shows the date sent out when you get it from Chase. I did and I attached it to my complaint with TARP people.

Re: Chase Modification after Chapter 13 confirmation Florida

I agree it's BS and when I was talking to the lady she asked if I was prepared to make July payment and if the money was from my paycheck. I told her I was prepared but it was only 2 days away. At this point I just want to get the ball rolling, I figured trying to delay the first payment would only delay the permanent modification at the end. Everyone I have spoken with about the due dates seem to say there is a grace period. We'll see, I doubt the packet will even arrive by Aug 1 at this rate.

Re: Chase Modification after Chapter 13 confirmation Florida

UPDATE: I finished my trial payments july-aug-sept and called to see what's next. was told that they are behind and I needed to continue making payments until probably december before i hear anything. I asked what if there was any paperwork I needed to get together in the meantime and was told last 2 bank statements and paystubs. Then on oct 6 i got a fedex that says:
YOUR MODIFICATION IS AT RISK - URGENT RESPONSE NEEDED!
Thanks for participating in the MHA program. Under guidelines you are required to submit certain documentation and the deadline has passed however you have been given a one time extension to submit the information. Our records indicate that you have not yet provided some or all of the documents listed below: (Pay stubs, Bank statements, proof home is occupied, IRS Form, Signed hardship affidavit)
The packet had a cover letter to fax and a return envelope to Fedex. Nowhere does it tell me when the deadline of the 'one time extension' is. I called and was told that this letter was sent to everyone, they could see in my file that I had submitted that info and I just needed to send updated paystubs and bank statements. So..I am getting that together to send out tomorrow and will hope for the best. The guy I talked to also mentioned there was a 'work out' plan so I hope that means good news is coming. So Chase has drafted this letter to everyone basically telling them that they have not submitted in time but that Chase is allowing an extension, what a bunch of BS! BTW the packet also included three more payment coupons.

Re: Chase Modification after Chapter 13 confirmation Florida

In past 2 weeks I have received 2 "modification is at risk" Fedexs plus Chase financial information form. My new part-time job is sitting up every night collecting paperwork to fax in and calling to see if they have received the paperwork from the day before. I did hear from someone at the number on the MHA trial payment paperwork that my file was complete and waiting for underwriting yesterday but today I was asked to send in more tax stuff, etc. with signatures. UGH!!! The guy I spoke with today told me they had a meeting this morning and that of 100-150,000 applicants only 30-40,000 files have completed paperwork. Also, he said that as long as your income is not too high, changed more than 25% and you have no equity your final will probably go through...let's hope so.
