    Loan Modification Approved - After Over 2 Years

    after a long fight, Ive hired attorneys ( About 10k ), Chase didnt play game, I mean they tried to, but the attorneys was on top of their game.

    I got a 3.2% for 5 years , then it goes up 1% within 5 years with a capp.

    They also did a forgiveness, not a principal forgiveness, but a "chase" one.
    I dont think its a forgiveness, since we all know the story.

    I'm pretty happy with the results and living 2 years for free. Not I have to start paying my mortgage -(

    I'd be happy to help anyone with what I did, I know its soo hard to be in this situation.

    Since the first is in place, if you haven't already done so, there is some really good information on settling the second in the first post of the following thread;

    Also see if there are some success stories with Chase seconds here;

    I'm working on a modification with B of A and I'm hoping that they will eventually approve us and 'forgive' our missed payments while we were in the process also. I don't have a lot of hope left that it will actually happen but being a mother of 4 I owe it to my kiddos to try and stay in our home. Any advice on how you did it with Chase would be awesome. We applied for our modification in Oct 2011 and are now getting notices that we were denied because we didn't give them all of the info they wanted. Our 'Relationship Specialist' and his 5 supervisors are not returning our phone calls asking what we are missing.

    Hi pennelopesmom,

    Welcome to the forum and thank you for joining..............

    The process through Chase and BofA are very different. What you may want to do is escalate your file to the executive team since you are not receiving any communication through your RM.

    They can be reached here;

    Hellonjchase,

    Congratulations on your mod!!!!!!!!! Thank you for posting to let us all know that there is hope after trying for so long. I do have a question, what exactly did you mean by "They also did a forgiveness, not a principal forgiveness, but a "chase" one." If you don't mind sharing ....

    What was your mortgage payment before mod?

    What is your new payment (I assume it is PITI)?

    What is the dollar amount forgiven or was it attached to the end as a balloon payment?

    Thank you, once again, congratulations!!!!!!

    Thank you very much for this phone number! I just called them ( a 'quick' 30 minute process) and it seems like they are getting on the RM's case with managers and such so we'll see what happens now. Apparently my modification request was closed and nobody knows why. Hmmmm...
