WAMU still listed on Deed of Trust and as Beneficiary

I went to the courthouse this morning to do a little fact checking. WAMU is still listed on the Deed of Trust and as the
Beneficiary. We are approaching 18 months in default and hear very little from Chase. An occasion phone call from a cubical somewhere. The mortgage is in foreclosure status, but no sale date has been set and no NOD has been filed. I have called the local attorney that Chase referred me to and they say they are just waiting for further docs from Chase.

Does it mean anything that WAMU is still listed on the Deed and as Beneficiary? I read rumors that the sale to Chase has not been finalized and such, but can't confirm that. Please reply if you have a similar experience or some good, solid info. Thanks!

    Hello,

The sale is complete. My thoughts are they will never change each deed of trust because it is simply impossible. They just now own each WAMU deed which they can prove in court when needed.

Moe Bedard, thanks for the reply. Chase has denied three mod apps and just sent us a fourth. That is just plain silly. Income/circumstances are unchanged.

Should we just sit tight until they get serious/recieve a NOD and then ask for SS or DIL? Want to avoid FC in this small community if possible.

    You are most welcome.

This is common and remember Chase is massive with many foreclosures they are managing. Try and win a friend and influence a Chase employee or two. That will help and just keep playing the loan mod game by filing out and sending in what you need and waiting for your NOD. Then it may be a good idea to ask for the SS or DIL. Just make sure you consult with a lawyer in your state about the consequences of whatever it is you choose to do or ends up happening. Just try to take it in stride and understand that this process is madness and try to never take the craziness personal because it is definitely not you.

    Take care!

I looked up the county records (in California) and I see that Washington Mutual is still listed on my deed of trust, even though I have been making payments to Chase for several years. I have asked Chase for a short sale. Is it normal for Wamu to still be listed on my deed of trust ? Can this cause me complications down the line ? I have 2 purchase loans with Chase and neither one of them has been refinanced. thank you for any advice. M.
