    I'm back

Hello to all my fellow loansafe family. Once again, I am back for your help. I currently have Chase as my bank for my first loan and Wamu for the second (which was used to purchase the home) I did a loan mod last year with the first and now I am trying to file for the hamp program with this loan. I haven't paid the second in over a year because when I tried to do a mod with them, they gave me the run around. I sent in my paper work twice only to be told that they never received it so I wasn't qualified. I was told by the home preservation department that according to the information I gave them, it looked like I was qualified for the hamp program. I sent them all my paperwork and because of the extrodinary knowledge that I have gained from this site, I have stayed in contact with them at least twice a week. Each time I called them, they would say that I needed this and I needed that which I promptly sent. As of yesterday, they said that they have it all and that I should be receiving a call from someone on the 8th, which is Thursday. I didn't make the February, March or April payment. Does anyone know if this will affect me being approved for this program. Has anyone not made a payment and been approved? Thank you and best of luck to all of you who are suffering with these banks.

    Hi vovouna,

Are you trying for the HAMP on your 1st or 2nd mortgage?

Oh ok just making sure.. The fact that you have not made a payment in the last few months should not affect what you are trying to accomplish at all. Make sure to give them a call if you do not receive the call they promised on the 8th..

Thank you so much Evan. How long in months do you think I will have to wait until they make me an offer? I have read people waiting months and months before they are notified. Will I be placed on a trial first and then offered a permanent. Is that how it works? Sorry for all the questions, but I know I am asking them in the right place. I am so grateful for loansafe!

Oh thats ok feel free to ask all the questions you want! Really right now there is no telling how long it will be before they make an offer, it could be a couple weeks or maybe a couple months.. But for the HAMP program you will definitely be on the trial period prior to receiving a permanent modification..
