Here goes.... called Chase in July because i was behind on payments, hoping they could help .something ,anything other than that great repayment plan they like to offer so the lovely woman i spoke to told me all about this great program Home Loan Modification! Well that sounds great what do i do ? easy she sais send in the paperwork and we will do the rest! super.... don't worry about the late fees she sais they tack in on to the end of your loan...great. thought about it, called back another lovely woman took all of my info over the phone and instant temp mod, now just send in the paper work couldn't be easier!!! now i'm on my fourth payment and can't get another person on the phone to tell me what's going on and i've come to the realization that i must be a complete idiot because now instead of scrimping and starving.. to come up with the two payments i was behind i am now 8k plus in the hole without a way out!!! i wish i had found this site a looong time ago.

Welcome to the Forum, I feel for ya...Looks like they have you in there game...Its the Bankers Game of Forcvlosure, you need to keep calling and explaining to them, you can see what others have been through by looking around, many of us have been there already, you may want to go to NACA.com and apply for some backup help for now

Thanks for the reply i will check NACA's site. I do keep calling but am getting nowher i don't know why but i'm kinda afraid to be anything but 'wicked' nice to these people out of fear they will "lose" my paperwork which i sent in twice now. My family will literaly be on the street if we lose our home, two small kids really freaking over my bad decision to ask for help should have known better.

I am in the same boat started trial payments in August and still waiting..I was told I was going to the underwiter for review as of yesterday and now in another phone call I am told I am extended in my trial until Jan2010. And to keep making the trial payments. I asked why and was told they want to see how I handle the trial payments? what does that mean? I have made 4 trial payments? GO figure I don't know whats going on I really don't. I am getting mixed messages.

I'm looking for help and the info here is great, i signed the petition, what do you think of that, i got an email from my congressman, who i would bet my house for what it's worth that he never read just a pat letter thanks for your letter looking forward to hearing from you again have a nice day. never addressed the issue. Are You KIDDING me?!! i'm drowning here and he sais have a nice day! It's 9 am here I'm gonna start calling Chase again, for the 20th time this week

Keep making them payments dont stop them

if that gets you nowhere here is the executive resolution group
tell them whats going on and no one will help you.........

litehouse, in my opinion, i think they like to see if we can sustain 6 or 7 payments on time, lets them see how committed we are and if things are stable for us at the reduced payments.

They did not send paperwork until after i made 2nd payment. just got off the phone got nowhere hasn't gone to "quality control" yet haven't a clue what that means she said you will hear in a couple of weeks my loan is a fannie mae dialing that number as i write will let you know

Called that number gave my social and said that they couldn't pull up the account asked if it was a wamu acount, it was gave me the same customer service number i've been getting the run around with for months are they still why are they seperating accounts that way

Yep, Chase / WaMu did the same exact thing to me. Enticed me to join the new "trial modification program", then they screwed up my paperwork, didn't notify the investor I was in modification, and then threw me into forclosure before I every received any paperwrok or even a modification determination. It really appears to be a set up to force those tittering further down the road into forclosure. I really don't know how else to interpret such actions (or inactions).

Keep calling, but don't trust what they say to you verbally. Not trusting their verbal comments will save you a lot heartache and misdirection. Only believe what you get in writing. I have not received anything in writing yet....

someone just drove up to my house, when i went to see who the heck it was, he asked if i was ..me and ya i am he said he was sent by wamu to see if the property was owner occupied has anyone ever heard of this .. good sign or are they just looking to see what they are going to be getting at forclosure!

zander, yes we had that happen and it scared the you-know-what out of me because at first I didn't know who they were and what they wanted (they were actually going to our neighbors and asking about us, blech). I wish I could tell you if that was a good sign or not, but I truly don't know...

We are in CA...I am a grown woman yet I was seriously cowering in my home watching these people go to our neighbor's--isn't that ridiculous?? I'm embarrassed even to admit it. Later on a different person came, my husband happened to be outside doing yardwork and they verified who he was and that we indeed lived there...

I have heard that it is common for them to make sure you are accupying the house. I thought that was why we had to give them a utility bill but I guess we could have th ebill come in our name and still be renting the house.

That's true many landlords have the bills come in their names, we also submitted bank statements, income docs all with same address. I just wish i knew exactley where we are in the process is driving me crazy not being able to get any info at all when i call, i'm told it's with the negotiator. does any one know where it goes from there.

Banks sending out workers to knock on neighbors doors is simply harassment. There is no other reason to do that because they have all your documentation. Why don't they ask for a copy of your driver's license if it is so important? They would not waste money on a body to go driving around knocking on doors for any other reason other than to shame and embarrass you into paying them more money. Where else would you be living after putting every nickel into the house?

Had this happen when I was not home.
National City left a "call tag" on the door.
When I called they said they wanted to make sure I still occupied the property.
I had just talked to them 2 days before that and told them I still lived here.
