Chase Homeownership Centers

Has anyone had any experience with a Chase Homeownership Center? I've been reading about NACA's events, but given they've just had the SF extravaganza, I don't see one in my region for a while. I'm wondering if going to a CHC and meeting a counselor there is the next best (or possibly a better) option. I just found a local office within approx 35 miles of my home.

Given his recent comments on NACA I'm hoping Moe will respond if he gets a chance.

Thanks

Re: Chase Homeownership Centers

They just filled out my paperwork, no real counseling or advice. They are part of the bank so I dont think is different from the phone reps, desks very close together so all the reps can hear what yours is telling you. Not sure if by going to the center helps, but I noticed my file has been processed differently from other people in this forum, I dont know if is for good or not. At least I know they will fax your papers to the apropriate department. Ah! my HAMP was aproved within 2 weeks.

This is good to know. I've been thinking about tag-teaming Chase with NACA and going to the Homeownership Center too.

Re: Chase Homeownership Centers

My experience with the Chase Homeownership Center was that they can get your paperwork sent immediately and you do not have to deal with the lost paperwork line since they scan it into their computer.

My problem with them was that they are NOT your advocate, they work for Chase and since many of these are new you can end up with someone really inexperienced.

Ah so if you have one of these centers close to you, it might be worth it to use them as a means to get your paperwork into the Chase system more efficiently. Face to face instead of fed ex-ing it off to some random person somewhere. ????

Re: Chase Homeownership Centers

I contacted the CHASE Homeownership Center telephonically after I got denied for my WAMU/CHASE (HAMP) application in August 2009 due to lack of a permanent hardhsip. The homeownership representative was very helpful but told me that they could only assist me if I was late (30 days or more) on my payment for a CHASE in-house modification. Well I am now 60 days late, so I am sending my application for a in-house CHASE modification via certified mail today. I am hopeful that perhaps I will get some assistance.....I am so disgusted with CHASE!

Re: Chase Homeownership Centers

I called them but have to be 30 days past due to get an appointment. The gave me the "Imminent Default" number (866-550-5705).

I haven't called. I am still weighing/waiting for the turnaround in NACA as they maybe start addressing their non-event clients issues. Or, I may divert my house payment to my Visa bill (ironically a Chase-Visa).
