I am helping a friend of mine who has the gutts to mail Bill Nelson - Florida Senator to explain her situation. In short she is vey sick to handle this mess and she asked me to help her out. She wrote a letter to the Senator which he replied back to her telling her, her case has been submitted to a complain department within the goverment. I got both letters my friend received and inmediatelly I contacted the executive person assigned to my friend on this case. The fact that this executive person at chase knows that the Senator is involve, she is working " the best" she can to expedite my friend's case. The executive told me it takes 30 days after documents are received. Docs. were received by her on Oct. 9, 2009. My question is shoud I be in her case every other week or wait until the 30 days passed. The executive on the phone sounds very pleasant. I don't want to come across as a B... however, I am concern if I don't play hard knowing my friend's health condition, I will be waiting and waiting and nothing will happend. Please advise. I just want to help a dear friend who is very ill. Yur reply to this matter will be such much appreciate. Thanks a lot, Misita |

Just in case there is that "one thing they forgot to ask you for". Then follow up with an email summarizing the conversation if necessary or possible. A paper trail is always helpful. |

I know 30 days, however, I would just follow up with the Executive in two weeks to see if still on track for the 30 days as initially stated. May we ask for the Executive's name per chance? Curiosity on my part.

I had my congressman write to the OCC and while they acknowledged the letter and my e-mail to Jamie Dimon, they assigned a new nitwit in the Executive Resolution Group to "handle" me.... Got nowhere--- they denied me again and then washed their hands of it, What they seem to be most afraid of is the truth getting out to the media. This will not happen because the networks are owned by Chase. Last edited by GailCorr; 10-25-2009 at 03:13 PM.. Reason: typo |

Thank you for your quick input to this matter...I don't have the paperwork with me, but I will post this executive person on this forum. I am very greatful of such a group of people helping each other out. On the other hand, I told the executive, I will call her this coming Tuesday to " check Status ". My friend got a " letter " on the mail asking her for all the paperwork originally asked. I turned around and fax a direct note to this executive with a copy of the letter just telling her quote: Mrs. Executive, I will asume this letter is a computerized letter or is this a JOKE,, at this point you have all documents needed to expedite my friend request. I won't allow at this point to ask for more paperwork. On the other hand, I will contact again Mr. Nelson and the Complaint department just to let them know that I will hold you responsible to give me an answer / resolution on November 9,2009 which is the 30 days deadline you told me before. I had documented every single email, phone call, fax etc. Lastely, I do have a radio show gear to the Hispanic Community, and God knows I will mention how unhuman your entity is, how minority has been treated and more. At the end of my fax, I just said to her,, Ok Mrs. Executive, have a pleasant day ! |

Letter/calls to Congress folks won't usually help for individual situations. Many of us have done that and been referred to OCC. We write them and get a nice form letter thanking us for our concern. They have oversight but no direct enforcement authority. Calls to Congress we hope will get enough of Congress tired of the calls or see the seriously of the situation and get us more help. Like a enforceable moratorium on foreclosure sales while this mess is worked out and more and more pressure to get trial mods approved. Treasury (Admin) is doing all it can to shame banks into doing more mods by its new reporting requirements. But that is about all it can do without help from Congress since the law has no enforcement provisions. And Republicans will block anything that costs more money. There biggest contributors the big banks etc got their money but the heck with Main Street it seems. There is still money in the TARP program which could be used including for 2MP especially from the big profits on the TARP funds that have been paid back. But TARP funding expires I believe 12/31 and Republicans do not want to extend it. HAMP is already funded - the best I can tell the funding will never be close to used unless there is a ramp up in permanent mods which pays the incentives from TARP funds allocated to HAMP as I undestand it. |
