I started the mod process in Jan. 09. I sent in all our paperwork Jan. 30 called they said assigned to rep on Feb. 4 of course could never get a hold of him and he never once contacted me. left messages several times for months. We Just wanted to give up. On may 22 I received a letter from Wamu stating they were in the process of reviewing our file and I should here something in 30 days. May25 I received hamp trial mod from fedex. Had to fax all back to them with june 1 payment. heard nothing from them until August 12. They sent me that your mod is at risk packet. had to resend everything and got a new rep Syvette by the time I was able to talk to her she said your packet was transferred to Jessica and she didn't have any info for me only to keep making trial payments. Made 5 was going to make 6th. in a few days. She said if Jessica needs anything she will call you. Thats the last I heard from them until today. To be honest after reading all your stories I was afraid to call. I didn't want to lose my home. Before the trial I was 45 days late but steady and now we are 4 1/2 months behind. What if they denied us, how are we suppose to come up with all that money to reinstate the loan. Fedex showed up today with another packet. I was a little nervous about opening it. But, to my relief it was permanent mod paper work. Our payment was 2400 adjustable every six months. Plus 300.00 taxes and insurance. Our new payment is 2221.00 with taxes and insurance which is 31% of our income. 6.25% fixed for the remaining term of our loan. Permanent mod effective date 10/01/09 first payment due 11/01/09. I want to thank all the members and loansafe for all the valuable info that you give each day. it really is nice to know you are not alone. and I will keep you all in my prayers. Don't give up |

Only was able to talk to Syvette once and by that time our packet was already transferred to Jessica. pbharris4, Our loan was a 30 year ARM first 2 years interest only then would adjust every 6 months thereafter (P&I) which increased our payment Approx. 200.00 every 6 months. So glad it is fixed now. Thanks everybody for the congrats. I still can't believe it myself. |

I work a the school district and my positon was cut from 12 months to 9 months. OH-WAMU... All the back payments were added to the back end of the loan late charges waived. Now have an escrow shortage of 1184.00 due to them paying our insurance. We always paid that ourself now our loan has an escrow account. They gave us the option of paying the 1184.00 now or over 60 months. |

It is signed by Chase and states our mod is now complete. Our first permanent mod payment was Nov 1st. So it took about 3 weeks to complete after returning signed docs and first payment to them. But, our online account has not been updated yet. |
