The best "non-news" I have heard from Chase so far in 10 mo

So I called today again as I make my weekly calls....and i was told today that my modification has been approved and that it is pending manager review.

So she transferred me to the department that is handling that...and a second person told me EXACTLY the same thing. Two people gave me the exact same information.

Unfortunately, they were unable to tell me anything else...so I have no idea of potential terms...etc...

They did say all the notes said that it looked good to go forward & I need to call back weekly as they are not good at outgoing calls.

Has anyone heard this??? I am on no sort of trial plan or anything like that, so my thinking is that this is when they hit me with a $50 reduction in my mortgage.

Im trying to stay positive.....but I am just sooooo jaded.

I really hope that the offer is a permanent modification and will work out for your situation.

Nice to have you back Caldwell! You were missed. The only thing that got me excited was the fact that 2 different people read me the same info....other than that, I will call weekly as I always do anyway.

It's been a rough week with my having to put my best friends horse down last night, so I am letting this cheer me up just a bit.

We are in the exact same boat. All approved for a permanent modification, and awaiting paperwork.
But we do know our terms. We are saving $80 a month. (ha!)
We didn't do a trial either.
And ours has already went through manager approval, just waiting to be printed and mailed. Oh but wait...they mailed it on the 9th....then they didn't .....then they did......nope, looks like they didn't. They said not to expect it before our first payment is due on november 1st. They want us to send in the payment anyway. Not sure what we are doing yet.
I know we aren't accepting the modification. We are going to pay all the arrears and just move on with our regularly scheduled payment. Just trying to figure how to go about this in the easiest way. Our account has been so messed up over the past year that I don't know if it will ever be "normal" again.

Yeah, this whole process has been a real eye opener...I have only seen I think 3 now permanent mods with Chase. I am still current on my payments. but I have property taxes due now...and so it goes, we will see what happens next month...which is only a few short days away...

Sooooo...I called for status again yesterday...same same. Still under second review. And then today i get a call from a lady by the name of Carla Brantley at the executive offices regarding the email I sent out to the executive offices two weeks ago. She said she would contact me when she heard back from the imminent default dept.
