paperwork received, but...

Well, we were told Sept 24 that our perm modification had been approved and we would receive paperwork within 10-14 days..modification included a 5% interest rate, start over at 360 months, and all late fees waived. This was taken directly from the email sent from the Chase rep to our VA rep. On Friday, we did receive paperwork via US mail, but it was yet another forbearance agreement. Nowhere in this paperwork did it say anything about late fees being waived or a 5% interest rate. The three months are for 10/16, 11/16 and 12/16 with a balloon payment of $20k due on 1/16. This is beyond ridiculous. When I called our rep with the ERT, they said that it is mandatory to be put on a forbearance period before a perm modification is done..she didn't have anything to say once I told her that we had just completed a trial period.

My husband got up this morning and fired off emails to all the exec email addresses that have been posted on this board. Not looking for anything good to come out of it though.

Re: paperwork received, but...

Hi Vlove

I was put on a trial, made all three payments , denied and now they want to put on another trial. At this point I am not paying another penny to them, I filed a complaint with the OCC and the HAMP Administration. They are currently looking in to this fiasco.

It's one lie after another. Stringing us along like idiots!!!

Re: paperwork received, but...

That is what I was afraid of when BOA sent me a forbearance/repayment agreement. It gave them the right to call a bunch of money due at the end of the term.
Hopefully that balloon they are talking about will be tacked on to your mortgage balance. However, since it is not in writing that it happen that way, it is a scary situation. I hope your emails work. Keep pushing to receive the permanent mod. I wish you the best of luck. Keep us posted.
