Re: how are you making hamp trial payments?

I was told in no uncertain terms that I had to pay with Certified Funds or Western Union because my account was over 90 days late..He said they would not accept anything else.

Re: how are you making hamp trial payments?

No mine.. have to be there on the first..or I should say by the first of the month....I would call them on Monday and explain what happened...As an fyi I like the fact of sending the certified check as it is my proof just like the receipt for the Express Mail overnight signature required when I send it...I don't want to take any chances of them saying they received it late or not at all.

it says if you prefer to make payments by phone all telephone payment fees are waived and you can schedule payments in advance

Re: how are you making hamp trial payments?

A debit card linked to checking was taken for my 1st two trials. This gets charged immediately to checking and they can get on their machine it verified they see it going thru and give me a reference number

Back in July I was told had to be certified or wire order, but then someone else said debit card was fine. Seems each time I need to give a guys name who told me ok by debit card but have done twice now.

I am with Citi however not Chase

Re: how are you making hamp trial payments?

I will be stressed out until Monday now......I am on my 4th trial payment. I called Chase daily last week and was told on the 28th I could make the payment over the phone. When I called on the 1st to make the payment the guy said NO, payment had to be with certified funds. I had just made a deposit in the bank instead of cashing the check. I explained to the guy I would have to make payment on the 2nd which would make my payment late. He said he would make a note on my account and that would be okay because most people on the trial payments don't realize they need to continue to make payments until your mod is approve/deny and they usually wait a couple of days for the payments to be made (?) I went to Western Union yesterday and Chase changed their code so I wasn't able to make the payment. I called this morning and the lady said YES, I can make the payment over the phone, that only the first payment has to be with certified funds. They are driving me crazy!!!!!!The agreement says that if we are in foreclosure we need to make the payment with certified funds....I made payment over the phone anyways and called my negotiator that never calls me back and explained to him what happened and gave him the confirmation number the girl gave me this morning. I am sooo afraid this is going to ruin any slim chance we might have to get this mod approved. I wish I would've just Western Union the money now!!!I will call Chase on Monday again

Re: how are you making hamp trial payments?

I was told and it state in the packet if you are in foreclosure that it has to be certified funds....I called Loss Mit last week to double check and he said over 90 days they would ony accept certified funds for the trial payment......but you know how it goes one person says one thing and someone else says something else at chase......as for me I am not willing to leave it to mis information on anyones part and am sending certified as directed so its one less thing they can hold against me.....I am on pins and needles waiting for some kind of decision I made my 3rd trial payment on Oct 1 and was told they extended for another 3 months because of the backlog...but that an answer could come down after the 4th payment or 5th.....the waiting and wonder and what ifs is driving me crazy..it has made me short tempered on edge all the time just a grumpy person..I feel like my life is not my own right now and I don't like that....I want to get approved and get on with the business of living is that so much to ask???? I think the new guidelines went into affect Oct 1 as far as the govt having denial codes and the banks have to report why they denied someone and I think I read somewhere the process is suppose to become more streamlined did anyone read that also????

Re: how are you making hamp trial payments?

I think i will call again tomorrow and first thing Monday morning and speak to someone in the loss mitigation dept. and of course call my negotiator again and hope he picks up the phone or calls me back. Certified Funds or over the phone payment at this point I am already late anyway.....I just don't know what to do now.....Should I call and cancel payment and Western Union first thing Monday morning?

Re: how are you making hamp trial payments?

I called today twice and it tells me to call during normal business hours. (?) I feel I will not get an answer today since the dept. I should be contacting including my negotiator are closed today anyway..When I called yesterday and left a message for my negotiator I left the confirmation numbers and explained I couldn't make the Western Union payment on the 2nd since I didn't have the new code. I will wait until tomorrow and hopefully everything is okay.

Re: how are you making hamp trial payments?

I actually spoke to my negotiator this morning....I called him at 6:25 AM and he picked up!!!!!!!!He checked notes and said payment was posted on the 3rd and since I've already made my 3 trial payments I was okay...... He also said he would escalate my file for a possible perm mod, but that is what he said almost a month ago. He sounds like a nice person but that isn't doing anything for me. There are days where I just want to give up and move on....I am okay today but last week I was ready to not make the payment and start looking for a rental. It's a struggle!!!!

Re: how are you making hamp trial payments?

We made all of our 3 trial payments by regular check. I would mail them in and notate when they were cashed by Chase. The date they were cashed was always much earlier than the date Chase said they got them. No idea of what they did with the payments as our account has been locked out for months so we cannot see any information about it on the website. We were 90 days late when we got approved for the trial mod, but not in foreclosure.
