I am faxing the packet i am supposed to fillout again on Monday. They told me I was aproved for the mod under a different format (forms). The previous forms are not the same I got now. I have to resubmit it all. I may be extended as well, or denied right away. Things dont look good for me...everything about my case seems to be different from everybody else. Now you know is a matter of wating another 3 months... it gives you some time to at least relax a bit... The best for you... keep in touch... thanks again. |

The problem is many of us don't have 3 months because we have sales dates coming up and no assurances they will get extended. We are totally at the mercy of the service to get all the paperwork right to get it extended. With Citi as an example has to go thru extensive review, attorneys etc. They make it extremely difficult once the issue the foreclosure notice even when going into foreclosure was a direct violation of Treasury directives (and in my case telling me all was well and wait for a processor to contact me) |

So your telling me this is all caused by Fannie Mae's screw up that we have to start over.......I thought the purpose of the program was to prevent foreclosures? What the hell caused this kind of screw up at Fannie Mae /Freddie Mac??????????? I don't get it??? |

I had submitted documents showing HAMP eligibility. It was because of CitiMortgage delay that I was not being sent the Trial Period Offer. 5/4/09 Reach helpful lady at CitiMortgage but unfortunately didn’t think I need to get name or ID number. I asked about my HAMP status from the documentation I had submitted because it had been awhile since my many calls in April. She told me “You were approved for modification on 5/1/09.” She said detailed paperwork would be sent to me. I was thrilled and emotionally relieved. Too bad the nightmare was only just beginning. 5/11/09 dated letter from Citi which is a duplicate of the letter received on 3/17 thanking me for request for assistance – file forwarded to loss mitigation – process takes about 30 days- will be contacted by “your Specialist”. I assume the letter is generated because of delay or my repeated phone calls to check on the status but somehow didn’t catch that I had already been approved on 5/1 per my phone call on 5/4. 6/10/09 dated letter from Morris/Hardwick/Schneider LLC attorneys in Sandy Springs GA. “We have been instructed by CitiMortgage Inc., to contact you to review various Loss Mitigation programs …to avoid foreclosure of your property…Our Loss Mitigation Department specializes in helping borrowers avoid foreclosure…” etc. I first think it’s a scam since I have been working directly I thought with Citi and was waiting for their trial period letter (Fannie Mae Form 3156) per prior letters and was told I was already approved. I call Citi and they confirm the file has been turned over to Morris Hardwick. I was puzzled why, since I had been approved on 5/1 but they said to contact them. 6/10/09 I immediately call Kiel Martyn at Morris/Hardwick/Schneider. He is not available but talk to Joy Roberts or Courtney both are in my handwritten notes. I don’t recall for sure but Joy may have transferred me to Courtney, Or, Joy may have told me Courtney was the processor I don’t recall for sure.I said I was confused since I had been told I was already approved for HAMP. I was told that yes they have all my paperwork, financials, hardship letter etc from Citi. Having read the servicing directives I asked if they needed updated financial information since my prior financial data was now more than 90 days old. She said that everything looked in order, they were behind and I would be contacted by a “processor” in a few weeks or so. 7/14/09 dated letter from Citi “All reasonable efforts afforded you to cure this default have failed…loan has been forwarded to … CR Title to begin foreclosure proceedings.” |
