Just got off the phone with CHASE to pay my new "3 month" trial period payment of $961.00 and was told not to pay it because they are not supposed to be doing this YET???!!!What the hell does that mean.. WTF !! He said that only a negotiator can approve you for a "trial period" Now he wants me to FAX eveyrthing over,, when 2 weeks ago I was told not to send anything until I get a FedEx package(still waiting).. he then says "Forget everything that lady told me!!"""" WTF.. F these guys!

Now he wants a regular payment of 1800.00 ,, I told him to pound sand and to call me when they get there **** together!


These guys are so pathetic!!! Its really sad! I am writing Jamie an email write now!!

this was probably collections confusing you, collections is not in tune with modifications. Do you have the number to the person who set-up you up on the trial plan?

Makes no sense unless my odd info from Citi no one else confirms if you have already received foreclosure notice.

Under HAMP directives which seems no one follows, you can get on the trial verbally by phone with no paperwork... the easy part. Then while making the trial payments they send you forms, you send in tons of papers.

Sound like they are using inhouse mod instead of HAMP where they can do anything they want. Or collections is lying to you since they get a percentage of money they collect? Not sure if collection dept agencies get "commissions' based on their collections or if straight salaried.

I see, so you thought you were approved for the trial, and you were waiting for paperwork (the story of our lives) and your first payment was due today so you were calling to make it.

But it was the collection office overseas that "approved" you. Hmm, is that illegal for them to do that?

This worries me because we were supposedly just approved for a permanent. (no trial payments) But everyone we've dealt with is either in the Ohio office, the CEO's office or the Executive Resolution Team office.

This is seriously never ending.

I know your frustration. I went through the same thing. Was put on trial payment over the phone on April 1 and was told I would have paperwork by April 15. Never got anything and Chase acted like I was as making the whole thing up, it made me feel like I was going crazy. I was kicking myself for not having a recording of the conversation in which they told me I was on a trial plan. Anyway, I kept making regular payments and was finally put on a trial plan beginning Sept 1, almost 6 months after my original HAMp application.

I hope the fact that you have the recording will help move your situation forward faster. The Better Business Bureau complaint process was a HUGE help for me.

Update 10-9-09....

I emailed the ERG last week and spoke with Pam today from ERG and told her my situation. I told her a lady from Collections named Laura Chacon told me I had qualified for a "3 month trial" plan. MS. Chacon stated that Oct 1 would be the first day of my new trial.
To make a long story short I called OCT 1 to make a payment and 2 different people told me NOT to pay that collections are not apart of Loss Mtigation and cannot approved trial periods.

Pam from ERG calls me today and states she was not aware that COLLECTIONs was doing over the phone interviews for trial periods. After taking to her supervisor she NOW states that "collections is helping LOSS mitigation due to a high volume of mods"Now she states that I am qualified for the original agreement of $961/mo She and the rest of those knuckleheads at Chase know nothing about this. Would you think this type of NEW INFO would be in a MEMO to all employees???????????

So she stated she needed to talk to her supervisor and clear this mess up and she would "call me back" HAAAAAAAAAA,,,,, I wont hold my breath!!

FOLKS,,, this is PROOF that there is no accountability at Chase. PISS POOR management. This is what happens when the US government gives Chase and other banks "bailout" money without any FEDERAL oversight!

Oh budget. I am so sorry this happened to you. We need to do unite and make calls, emails, whatever it takes against Chase. If you want me to call someone on your behalf, tell me who. I'll start calling for you right now.

Just for the heck of it, I am going to prepare my own mod documents. Send them to my servicer with my first trial payment and ask them to sign the documents and fedex them back to me ASAP!
