Chase was mobbed!

There was a video on youtube that i was watching today and there was a mob of people that I think were at Jamie Dimon's office and a lady was trying to get the receptionist to give Jamie a large envelope and the receptionist would not take it. But when i returned to rewatch the same video, it is not there. Did anyone else see it. I can only describe it as a mob scene.

Mr. Benard, I saw where you had the email campaign on Monday. Do you have an e-mail address for Mr. Dimon? I saw the address and fax and I did fax a my letter to him, which was much longer and more detailed than my video. Sunday and Monday I have got to do some serious paperwork and get all my ducks in a row to present my case to the judge. So I will return here Sunday to get some forms I need. This website is a godsend. Thanks for being here.

CEO Jamie Dimon shook up the leadership of JPMorgan Chase, surprising analysts by announcing the immediate departure of co-chief executive officer Bill Winters and naming asset-management chief Jes Staley to run the business.<p> </p><br>Steve Black, who helped lead the investment bank with London-based Winters, will become executive chairman of the unit, the bank said yesterday. Staley will be CEO of the business and Mary Callahan Erdoes, CEO of the private bank, will succeed Staley in running asset management.<p> </p><br>Dimon is changing the only management team among the six biggest US banks to weather the credit crisis without a quarterly loss. The investment bank had $9.82 billion in fixed-income trading revenue in the first six months of 2009, third among the largest US banks behind Citigroup and Goldman Sachs.<p> </p><br>"It's a big surprise. Bill Winters is very highly regarded," said William Cohan, a former investment banker at JPMorgan who wrote "House of Cards" about Bear Stearns Cos. I just had to watch the video again because I remember the security guard behind the administrative staff.....Have to laugh....he didn't look at all interested in protecting life, limb and property...wonder if he's in the same boat as we all are!!

What was the letter about and what was the issue with reception accepting it - it wasn't a court summons??

They were probably scared that the envelope contained Anthrax! That's what they deserve but the REAL American people will not sink as low as the banks have.

This is just ESOP taking Bruce Marks lead on forcing these banks to work with their organizations and doing it on a small scale. The letter was probably something similar to what we have done with emails here.

The only way to get them to help and for them to listen is to cause them PR pain.

You have to fight fire with fire.

I just reread this thread and want to say that we need to all remember that there are many good people on the bottom floors of the chase branches. Good people. I know many up here in my county and some of the ones in SF and they are often frustrated. I know one person who had a job as a loan manager up here in Northern CA and she just quit because she was so frustrated at the red tape - it was so hard for her to have angry customers calling her. So if you see a regular looking person (not in a suit) with a Chase shirt (they all have to wear them) walking for a lunch break, please give them a break. They have nothing to do with this. Most were WaMu employees whose salaries have been cut and who are really being pressured. They are tellers and branch managers and some are probably looking for other jobs but in this economy it's awful. I don't know why that woman wouldn't accept the letter to Jamie Dimon. But I tend to think she had a job to protect. Looks like she was on the ground floor. If she was at the penthouse level - well - that's a different story alltogether.

Personally I am NOT angry at those who are not in positions to be able to get something done. And as long as whoever is on the other end of the line is not getting snotty with me, I will not get short with that person. And neither will DH. Quite the opposite actually. We both make it a point to tell the rep we want them to understand that whatever issue we have with Chase is with Chase and NOT them personally. You'd be surprised how much most people appreciate that, and how much more willing they are to help in most cases. My ire is directed at those who do have the power to make something happen but refuse to do so. Unfortunately the suits have it set up to where they do not have to deal with the population in general and hide behind said hourly employees...who are the only real, live faces and voices that most of us will even come into contact with, and will unfortunately be the only ones to deal with the customers that their employer has screwed over.

Not sure about that Caldwell. But I agree that going into a branch is totally ineffective and a waste of time. If you want to be effective, do like NACA and I have done by going to the CEO's house and march to Washington.

I am not very happy with NACA, but their methods of getting noticed and helped are very effective.

If you look at the desk/desks they are WAMU/Chase teller desks, this was at a branch, the lady next to her was a manger trying to protect her. I dont even think this was at chase hq. Dont think that kind of group would have gotten that close to Jamie Dimon and would have had real desks.
