I'm trying to figure out how they will calculate my gross income. Here is how my income is broken down. I get paid $21 an hour for 55 hours a week. For the first 40 hours I get an additional $4.16 an hour for health insurance. I basically have to buy my own health insurance. I'm wondering if it would be better to do that and buy my own health insurance or just suffer by taking the company's health insurance group plan at $275 a week to lower my income to what it really should be. I can buy my own health insurance for maybe $140 a week or less. They also consider a portion of my income as per diem. I believe 20% is considered per diem. So basically I get $1155 a week in pay, but 20% of that is per diem. I also get $166 a week for health insurance. My income would be $1040 a week if I was signed up for the group health insurance plan and maybe less if I signed up for dental and vision as well. Any advice? What would you do? |
