He wanted a payment and wanted to know why I was making my Credit Card payments and not my house payment?!? So after arguing with this jackass for about 10 minutes he finally realized he wasnt getting SQUAT from me! He then proceeded to ask me about my hardship and offered to help. I started having a conversation with him about the whole process and he told me a lot. He actually turned out to be a nice guy. Turns out he called me from Florida. So when he called me it was 11:30pm were he was calling from. He basically told me he was burnt out and tired. After cracking a couple of jokes he kinda opened up. He actually offererd to HELP. He stated that there was a 2-3 MONTH period in which all TRIAL PERIODS WERE HALTED . He said Chase ordered the STOP!! And just recently they started back up. My 2nd is a HELOC so maybe the "halt" only had to do with those types of loans??? Basically, he told me to make a normal payment of $265.00 by the end of the month and he could get me a trial modification. I am gonna give this guy a shot. I wont hold my breath ! How has chase handled your SECOND Mortgages????????????? |

Be careful and verify this information with different reps and maybe even a supervisor/manager..

If we've learned anything from this mess, it's that Chase's right hand has no clue what the left hand is doing/saying. |

I first confirmed with Chase that he was who he said he was with Chase before I agreed to give him any information. (can't be too careful these days). He was legit. He has stated that Chase is now working to get HELOCs modified at their office in Tampa and they have been transitioning from doing this in Texas. He asked for basically the same documents I provided on my 1st (pay stubs, bank statments, 4506T, etc) He confirmed he was submitting my package to the Tampa office yesterday. I think the "halt" thing is true because when I tried to modify my 2nd 2/3 months ago I was told they weren't modifying 2nds. The HELOC number I was given for Chase confirmed this info as well. |

I thought it was collections but he claims to be in the loss mit dept of the HELOC. He wanted to set me up on a trial mod. He requested all the same documents as the 1st mortgage. I told him that I have been on the trial mod for 5 months already. My negotiator from the 1st mortgage was handling both the 1st & 2nd. He told me that she can't do that...she does not have access to the same systems. I told him I wasn't interested in going forward with another trial mod. So, he said that he will continue with the foreclosure. |

I actually have had no problems with my 2nd mortgage and dealing with Chase(they own it) getting a trial mod on the 2nd they had me fax everything over and within a week they had their docs faxed back to me I signed them faxed them and have just completed the 3rd payment with them on the 2nds mortgage..its with the underwriter now but the first has to be modified before they will complete the close of the 2nd. I have 2 good contacts at Chase concerning 2nd mortgages or HELOC accounts they are direct dial numbers with extensions if you would like to call them and discuss your particular situation....I have said to them often I wish the 1st mortgage was as easy to deal with as the 2nd mortgage....even though they are different departments they even tried to call over and find out my status and whatever they could on the progress of my first for me...the 2 contact I have are Doug Ullinger HE/RE loss Mitigation Specialist 2 phone/ 1-866-346-6132 Ex 28298 or Michelle (same department) 1-866-243-0306 Ex 27548 |

I refused to be on the trial mod again because I rather offer them a settlement. I'm already in foreclosure and haven't gotten the sale date yet but I'm expecting it soon mid-Nov. The 1st mortgage told me today that at the moment I am decline the perm mod. My negotiator has not been able to contact the VP because she had a family emergency & not sure when she'll be back. Whatever... I have a 3/1 ARM scheduled to reset in early Feb. I've been so extremely stressed. I thought that my payments would be increasing dramatically, but it turns out my payment would actually decrease quite a bite. Comes Feb my rate would be 4.25% vs. 6.25% and then the following year it would be no more than 6.25%. So, for the next 2 years I would be fine. Then who knows I might be able to refi into a fix mort. I didn't understand the terms of my loan until we bought it to several loan officers to help us interpret it. I'm a bit relieved now but then in 2 years hopefully I won't have to go through this again. |
