My Chase Story

Over a year ago Chase put us into a modification program that we were approved for within 3 months. They then said because we were missing a subordination paper on our 2nd ( our 2nd lender never heard of it and Chase wouldnt work with the second directly to secure it), they said we had to reapply. 7 times they lost our paperwork and then the Obama modification came along and they said we had to apply for it instead of the one we were previously approved for. That has been since April. We went on a 3 month trial with a payment that was $500 more a month than we had previously been approved for. Meanwhile i am getting Mortgage changes from the variable rate arm that is completely seperate from what i am going through now. One hand doesnt know what the other hand is doing. It has been 6 months and have stopped making payments. We have gone from not wanting to loose our house to take it and let us get on with our life.

Re: My Chase Story

Hey vinny, sounds like my story. They lost my paperwork so many times i lost count. I also went over to obama plan after chase tried to give me horrible mod. Offers. Are you finished with your trial payments? I would ask for a supervisor in the executive resolution group in ohio to reslove this mess. They are there to clean up the messes everybody in this company causes. P.s. Still waiting for my obama paperwork. They said they sent it in may 09 but did not recieve it. Hang in there. Call ohio monday. Fight. We will prevail!!!!!!!!!!

Re: My Chase Story

Diana, we finished the trial period, but they said keep paying. We said no we will not. Every couple of weeks we get a phone call that asks for additional paperwork that we already sent. I dont believe they have any intention of modifying anything. Have not heard of anyone completing a modification. Good luck.

Re: My Chase Story

I haven't gotten to trial, but I know they have reams of paperwork about me in offices throughout the Chase empire. I want to know what they do with all of that?

Hey Moe - just a thought if you are there. I think I've now sent in four or five (sheez - losing count) 4506T's and I'm getting ready to send in another. Don't those go to the IRS? I wonder if the IRS keeps track of the number of requests they are getting for these verifications from banks? I wonder how much THAT is costing the taxpayers?

Re: My Chase Story

In normal times with mortgage underwriting I was told they never use the 4506T's unless there is a payment problem and they suspect Fraud.

By having them required makes it less likely you will forge a tax return since it can be verified. I would never suggest anyone do that of course or could be big legal problem maybe criminal fraud if caught. But I doubt they are actually sending the 4506's to the IRS and probably takes months to get a tax return copy back.
