I'm currently in the HAMP program getting ready to send my fourth trial payment, and what surprise I get in the mail today. A notice to foreclose !!!What is this? Has this happen to anyone else? Aren't foreclosure on hold while you work out your modification?

Any insight would be helpful....

Yes it is common practice it seems.

The directives say to stop all foreclosure actions. But they are being ignored and as a law firm told me since there is no enforcement mechanism in the law they basically can do whatever they wish. They make more money on foreclosure sales it been widely reported than the incentives for mods.

This is the outrageous situation and why we need to scream to Congress and media and whoever will listen that can do something about it.
