Detailed Notes are Critical You will have to make a lot of phone calls and deal with several different people within the loss mitigation department. This in itself can lead to unique challenges and road blocks if you don’t have your efforts well documented. Keeping track with a detailed call log that reference promises, comments and details should help you overcome objections as you talk to other people in the department. If there are any delays with the loan modification and the home goes into foreclosure, the log that you have created can be used to justify your good faith efforts in trying to find a resolution to your situation. |

I still have a lot of notes to enter but doing the backlogged ones with the new ones. I have been in court before...detailed notes are imperative!! |

And documenting is not only good for us - it's good for our neighbors. I mean think of all the phone numbers and names that we've accumulated in this forum. It's incredible. |

If you have a judicial foreclosure might be very helpful in Court, but for us in non judicial foreclosures there is no opportunity in Court without very very high legal fees and very uncertain out come per a law firm I talked with. |

I seem to be in permanent review, now they say I am in review for HAMP.I have not had a collection call in over a month. We are probably going to walk away in the spring and rent a comparable house for a little less than our current mortgage payment and regroup and get our credit back in shape and buy our next house with my VA loan. If I would have known the loan mod process took so long as was frustrating I would have tried to be more organized with my notes. |
