I hit the jackpot finding this site! Having searched, called, emailed, faxed (everything short of personal delivery) <~~~~ no joke.....we have a 30 yr fixed FHA. Husbands income took a serious dive Oct 08, we did everything we could to keep ourselves afloat. My first attempt at a modification came after I had my husband call Chase and inform them of our situation (Feb 09) rep said" you have internet?" husband "yes we do" Chase "ok just goto the website and APPLY ONLINE" hmm easy enough I thought, "I'll get right on it
" applied online sent our app....waited.....waited....still no form of recognition that they recieved it, 4 weeks later I called....can you believe THEY NEVER RECIEVED AN APP? oh and not only that...get ready for this one...out of the reps mouth, you CANT apply online, so I dont know what you did.....hmm, I said Im getting on my pc to retrack my steps with the rep on the phone. Can you believe that she learned something that day? So she informed me to FAX all my paperwork including app to the fax # located on the website...so I did, waited...waited...waited, 6 weeks go by, i call again and nothing, no one had my paperwork. They didnt recieve my fax. Im confused by this point so they told me they were gonna send my app fedex with a return envelope and to call about 4 weeks after. So I recieved the fed ex printed out all my "now saved" docs. took a special trip to the post office paid for next day service! thinking im ahead of the game here....wait...wait...call and not to my surprise, nothing on file of ever applying for the obama MHA no nothing....hmm so the guy asks me had i been pre qual? i said no, so he attempted ot pre qual....long story short was denied, income/debt to high, umm yeah thats why im asking for a mod idiot! anyways i took that and sat on it for about 3 weeks, recieving all my junk mail "get your stimulis NOW before its too late! bullcrap.....I attempted this again, but I refused to FAX, MAIL, EMAIL....this time i was heading at it full force....I went to the website searched Chase branches in an attempt to find one close to me...found one. I called and informed the lady that I was interested in a modification BUT I wanted to come in and fill out all the paperwork and needed to make an appt cause i was gonna be driving from my city (2 hr drive) She told me just fax it directly to me and i will call you directly to let you know i recieved it, Today. Fair enough...I faxed it, she didnt call that day but on Mon...good enough at least I was making progress....she said it would be 4 weeks to hear approval/denial....at 4 weeks we call, still nothing, she said its taking 60 days now. Well 60 day mark fell on the 18th of sept. Husband called, still no changes, shell call on the 21st...no call, we call again yesterday, voice mail, I left a VM, and she just returned my call as I began writing this post
after I been reading this wonderful forum for almost 4 hours
and got all my questions answered
that I didnt even have to lift 1 finger to call, type, lick a stamp! Its so sad that I was able to inform my husband what Chase was gonna pull as he walked through the door for work~~my words"
we arnt gonna get approved, all this time we sent off our applications, fax, mail, email, everyone on that board has done it....they are lucky if they get a "trial mod" let alone a complete mod 
so I dont believe we will be approved....I began registration opened up this thread and was about to start typing and my phone rang.....It was the chase rep....we were denied no surprise and i wasnt even upset....so sad....they did however offer a forberance for 3 months and informed me that more programs were comming avail and hopefully when they revisit my financial situation, if i reapply, and things have changed, I will be approved....
