Is trial period required??

Like most on here I'm fed up. I told the loss mitigation dept. I am not interested in their trial period (109 dollars less, 39% of gross) So now I have an appt with the homeowners department that opened in March here in Phoenix. They said to bring the usual documents blah blah. At least I will speak with someone in person. I really don't want a trial period, unless of course there is something wrote in there concrete, that something WILL happen and these are the terms at the end of the trial period. Give me something I can take to court if it does go into foreclosure. I would like to keep the home, but hey either do something or I will continue to live here until they throw me out. They suggested a short sale, I said no way. I'm staying until the bitter end. I have major doubs they will be able to accomplish much at the Homeowners office, but I'll go (Sept. 12)

Maybe I got their attention finally. (?)

What is the name of the homeowners department that you are going to? I wonder if I have one in my state that I could go to. Is it just called "Chase Homeowners Department"?

I hope you're able to get this worked out. I can't believe how they are dragging us all along.

We were told today we are "pre approved for a trial modification" .... whatever that means.

I don't know if there has to be a trial period of 3-4 months first.

Re: Is trial period required??

modification and forebearance are two completely different things. I assmed I was under a mod also, but after reading carefully, its very open ended and they can do whatever they want at the end. Alot of people on here post right away with all kinds of joy thinking they got approved or modified, and then dissapointed in the end. Read the paperwork you get carefully.

Oh, What city do you live in or closest? Usually its the big problem cities, Florida, California, Nevada but there are others.
