I did not get it, and yesterday my house was still scheduled to be sold tomorrow! I called them and they say the computer will update the information today and "remove it permanently" from the system. I think it will be removed "from my hands!!!!! I am afraid to look again. If they sell it, so be it. I am tired of all this. |

Nope but I just started. I plan on following the instructions to get a signed copy back that I saw in another post. I spent half of the day yesterday trying to find out why Chase would send me the old Form 3156 (ver 6/09) when it was revised in August! Another thing to add to my "make Chase do" list. Its this lack of attention to detail that drives me nuts. I can guarantee you that I will be asked for the new form to be signed at some pt in this process or it will be a reason they try to use to delay. So stupid. Don't you think its strange that there's a new HAMP update starting today that grants the servicer the ability to provide 2 months extensions for trial periods beginning before 9/1/09 so that they can collect missing/incomplete documentation from the borrower. Even more strange is that hardly anyone on here has rec'd their signed copy back. Wouldn't that be considered part of the required documentation? They're supposed to notify you of their need to provide an extension. Of course you continue to make your trial period payments in this so called extension. They make some other mention about the 4506T. Knowing Chase they will wait until the last minute to send these to the IRS for processing & probably backlog their system. Boy, you have to stay up to date on these directives & updates... |

I would not allow Executive Resolution group to close my case until I received the Trial Period Plan form 3156 signed by lender. My loan is owned by Freddie Mac. My Servicer is Chase. |

As long as you have a HAMP coverletter that came with the Trial Period Plan, you should be cleared legally, "all Real Estate Contracts over 1 year must be in writing." You may want to take an authorized tape recording with Chase Homeowner Assistance Analyst confirming the "effective date" of plan. I will have to read up on the 2 month extension... This is turning into a real joke. |

Can you please provide the Bulletin or Announcement number and release date? I cannot find this information on Freddie Mac website. Thank you |

Yes, I have received a "lender" signed Trial Period Plan effective July, 1 from a FedEx package. I send in the agreement on July, 4 with my first payment. They received it by July 6. The agreement signed by lender on July, 10, and received it back on the mid of July. My loan is owned by Fannie Mae. My Servicer is Chase. |

Single-Family Uniform Instruments News and Updates - Freddie Mac August 2009 Revised Home Affordable Modification Program Loan Workout Plan Freddie Mac is posting revisions to the Home Affordable Modification Trial Period Plan (Form 3156, dated 3/09 (rev. 8/09)) and the Home Affordable Modification Agreement (Form 3157, dated 3/09 (rev. 8/09)). The revised documents (i) allow more flexibility to cover a wider range of special loan document features, thus reducing the number of authorized changes; (ii) provide more detail regarding certain terms and conditions, and (iii) obtain the borrower's consent to sharing of certain personal and financial first lien modification data with specified participants in the Home Affordable Modification Program. Freddie Mac is also posting Authorized Changes for the revised documents. The revised documents may be used immediately and become effective September 30, 2009. If you continue to use the earlier versions of the Trial Period Plan and Modification Agreement, you must make the authorized changes required for those documents

If I understand the program waiver provided by determined1, that waiver gives the banks more time to process the final mod if the paperwork is not complete. But what about people like me that have completed the trial and submitted all of the required documents? It doesn't say they have an extension for cases like mine...Am I interpreting this correct? |

I agree with you...I think the banks are buying time. They can't handle the workload. As long as I get a reasonable mod, I am okay with the holdup-it is just stressful. |

What happened here is the banks convinced the US Treasury that borrowers have been unable to provide their financial documentation timely. The US Treasury bought this argument and created this guidance which the banks will use as a tool to delay and possibly deny borrowers altogether for failure to provide financial documentation. Unfortunately the voice of the borrower has not been heard by the US Treasury. The struggling homeowners are fighting to save their homes, why would they delay providing such important documentation? The answer is simple. CHASE NEVER ASKED BORROWERS IN TRIAL PERIOD PLANS FOR UPDATED FINANCIAL INFORMATION, NOR DID CHASE REQUEST FURTHER INFORMATION FOR INCOMPLETE FILES!!! I have read all the blogs and Chase has not called or sent any correspondence whatsover to any of us during the Trial Period. We are all in the dark. Those of us who are pro-active and know the guidelines sent their financial documents to Chase during the 2nd Trial Period Month. I have a fax confirmation to document the date I sent my revised "Borrower Assistance" form and updated paycheck/bank statement. I have a fed-ex signature evidencing the date Chase received my 3rd Trial Period Payment. I have a signed Trial Period Plan. I have legally obtained tape recorded conversations of Chase Home Owner Assistance Analysts and Executive Resolution Analysts stating that my file "looks complete and is in line with thousands of other Trial Period Borrowers waiting for underwriting." So Chase if you are listening I ask how do you plan to wiggle your way out of this one? |

So, if Chase doesn't start their review until after the 1st modified payment becomes due, how does Chase expect to meet the HAMP guidelines for anyone on the Trial Period Plan? How are borrowers supposed to have a "reasonable amount of time" to sign the final modification and send along with payment back to Chase by the 1st? How are borrowers supposed to know whether their documentation is complete? The answer is, Chase never had any intention of meeting these guidelines. Servicers were too busy complaining to US Treasury that their borrowers documentation was incomplete! The US Treasury had no idea these Servicers had never even opened up one Trial Period file! |

I have to say I am in a 3 month trial just sent my 3rd payment today, and I DID get a call from Chase last month asking for updated documentation so that underwriting could complete the process which I provided. I can also say that I have been calling weekly just too "check in" and make sure everything is in order, I have also been faxing in my paystubs weekly and bank statements monthly even if it hasn't been asked for just to cover my A@#.

Gordi Im with you on your thinking that there was never any intent to meet these guidelines. I will never swallow that they just dont know about the updates and new forms required. You really have to be on your game with all of this stuff. I have a word doc of the new form but it tracks the changes. ill post tomorrow from work. Also theres a really cool site i use for work called box.net. You can setup a box for free & it allows you to link to a folder of docs. You can send the link to anyone giving them access to the folder & it will show when someone uploads the doc. So tomorrow im going to create one especially for Chase & upload all of the docs ive sent (i.e. form 3156, 4506 etc) & cont to upload throughout my trial period. Im going to include the link on anything i send to Chase. i will eliminate the "addt info excuse" A2kman you're lucky. My requests for more information have always come after Ive asked for status. Chase has never called me and said they were missing a,b and c. Its usually more like "yes, i was told that my file was moving forward and i just wanted to know where i am in the process?"..."well there are notes in the system from your analyst that say we need your updated paystubs" |

Decided to update...so of course my analysts supervisor tried to tell me that they do not sign the trial periods...I told them I'd file a complaint with TARP. I emailed the support center for the HAMP program and asked the question. Below is that email conversation... Me: I am not a servicer, but a person on the trial period plan. Am I supposed to get a signed copy of my executed trial period as it states in my trial period and the guidelines? I am being told by the servicer that they do not have to return a signed copy to me? HAMP Spprt: Yes, they are required to execute and return a copy of the fully executed copy to the borrower. Let me add, provided you have met all of the qualifications such as all requested documents, income docs, etc. ffice Me: Yes, I have. I appreciate your help. Is there a support system in place for the consumer’s who are on the trial period plans? > So I forwarded their email to exec resolutions and demanded a signed copy of my agreement again. I called the number above and it appears its the number for HOPE, but they've added a support service for the HAMP program. Hope that helps... |

Cheryl, that is an excellent question. That could open up a whole new can of worms if it wasn't applied as "payments" but rather to the overall balance of the loan. That would just put you even further behind on payments. Ugh! Mars...I see this is your first post and you already have the documents and everything. It seems your timeline went rather quickly. Have you had any troubles with the process? Congrats on getting a trial mod underway. Art4ari...I thought that Chase couldn't proceed with foreclosure if you are working on a mod??? That's my worst nightmare coming true for you. |

Hi All: I think that this thread is a perfect example of why we need to petition that the government take over the entire HAMP qualification /trial period. I don't believe the banks will do the "right thing" without force. Or we must get back on trying to get our public servants to pass cram-down so we have a STICK! Without it I don't expect to get through this. |

Its Form 3156 - Anyone?? please let us know! rachel_p I applied the moan mod back in early March, faxed all the doc to Chase. Then 4 months of deliquent. Get the MHA doc. on early June. and send personal check as payment on July and August. However. they send back the July payment at the end of July due to "internal computer system update error". So i need to resend it again. By today, Chase did cash out all three trail payments, hope to get the mod soon. |
