I'm on a FHA loan and wanted to try and get a modification under HAMP. The new program was supposed to go into effect August 15 2009, but they say they are still doing software updates. Anyone have the same experience? I don't see much talk on any of these forums about the Ginnie Mae/FHA now going with the Making home affordable plan. The info in on the Ginnie Mae website.

This is most likely true as we saw with the MHA and HAMP programs. It took a while after the program came into affect before most lenders updated their software and knew the regulations of the program...
