told to "disregard" foreclosure letter

Just curious how many of you have received a foreclosure letter and upon calling chase have been told to disregard the letter?

Also, if you were told this, was anymore action taken?

(I posted my "story" in another thread.)

Re: told to "disregard" foreclosure letter

Yep! got one also. They told me to disregard as it was a computer generated letter. Said "Notice of Intent to Foreclose" I called back and said "Notice of intent to walk out of here"

Re: told to "disregard" foreclosure letter

That is just what ours said "notice of intent to foreclose". It wasn't certified or anything. Just regular mail on Chase letterhead.

When did you get yours briknope? I'm nervous about when the 30 days the letter gives us is up. Have the 30 days passed since you received your letter? Have you received any other correspondence?

Re: told to "disregard" foreclosure letter

No, after I called there was no correspondence. No phone calls or anything. Some people on here seem to be afraid that someone is just going to come pounding at the door all of a sudden and throw everyone out. There are people who have stated that was what happened to them here on this board. There is a long legal procedure and believe me, you will be notified in person (served) and the phone calls will be really coming in if and when you get that close. The nightmare stories are probably due to a lack of communication between the family members of that household where one is not telling the other the whole story. I didn't want to say husband and wife, this is 2009

Re: told to "disregard" foreclosure letter

We haven't received one single phone call since we started this process almost a year ago. All of the phone calls involved (and there have been countless!) have been from US to them.
Even since we've received the foreclosure notice, we haven't received any phone calls.

I'm not so much worried about having 24 hours to vacate or anything like that....I know it runs in the paper for 3 weeks prior to the sale, so we will have warning. I just don't want to wake up one morning and find a notice on our door showing a sale date. That would kill me. We have done nothing wrong here.
