Now I realize that we may be in a lot of trouble. I am worried sick. We have a our home, 4 kids and 2 pets. Last summer we fell behind on our mortgage payment. We were able to make a monthly payment, but we were always 30 days late. We called CHASE to see if we could set up some sort of repayment plan to help us catch up on that one payment. We also asked them if we qualified for any of the new modification programs. We could afford our monthly payment, but it was over 31% of our income, and our house is worth less than what we owe. We were instructed to fall behind 2 more payments and that would qualify us for a modification. We did. Then they said we didn't qualify, so they wanted to put us on a 6 month forebearance (sp?) plan. We paid all of those payments as instructed. That ended with our June payment. We called and told them we had made all the payments, and asked what we do next. They said that their computers are down and they can't access our files. WE HAVE CALLED 3 TIMES A WEEK SINCE MID-JUNE TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT WE NEED TO DO. They keep saying they can't tell us what to do because their computers are STILL down. They told us not to send any payments because they would be returned to us. They assured us over and over that everything will be fine. The first of August we got a foreclosure notice in the mail. It said that if we didn't pay $7500 by August 31st, our home would go to sale. We immediately called CHASE. They said it was a computer generated letter and we should disregard it. We've called them at least 6 times since then and they say their computers are still down, they still can't tell us what to do, we should still not send a payment AND to still disregard the foreclosure notice. They say that nowhere in their system are we listed in foreclosure. I was googling the other night and found this site and my hear sank. Are they really going to continue on with foreclosure? What can I do?? We don't even want a modification at this point. We just want our regular monthly payment back. My husband is calling our lawyer tomorrow morning, and is going to call CHASE and push for some answers, but I suspect that will get us nowhere. I'm in a panic. We can't lose our home. What will we do, where will we go? I'm worried sick over this. My husband doesn't seem as worried and assures me that CHASE said we are fine. Should we send in some $$$$? We can send in $2000. Where will that end up? Will that help? When we call CHASE now, our loan is in the loss mitigation department. WHY did it end up there? Why are we facing foreclosure? We only called because we were a few weeks behind on our payment. They got us into this huge mess. I'm at a loss. Has anyone received the foreclosure letter and been told to disregard it and had things work out just fine??? I haven't seen one story like that. I'm scared to death. |

We keep calling their call center and none of them know anything. IT's a different story everytime we call. We've asked to be transferred to management/supervisors and all we get is voicemail. We leave repeated messages and never get called back. As for our credit report, we are now showing 9 months behind on our mortgage payment. They haven't entered in that we've paid anything on that 6 month forebearance program. |

Upon receipt of your email, they will assign you to an Executive Team specialist who should be able to work with you in an attempt to hopefully acheive a resolution. If you prefer to call them directly, the telephone number to the Executive Team Dept is 214 626 7377. However, I would recommend starting out with an email to Mr. Dimon clearly explaining your plight. Here is the email address: jamie.dimon@jpmchase.com or jamie.dimon@chase.com Hope this helps. Goodluck. |

What are your thoughts If they do go ahead with the foreclosure process you will get something from a law office and at that point you can call the lawyer to find out what's going on with the hearings, etc. It's not a quick, overnight process and they have to give you notice of the hearings. I was going to let mine go through foreclosure before the new Obama plan came out, it was a lengthy process to say the least so I think you have time to get it straightened out. |

But I didn't know if he would actually read the emails. Good to know that that may help. I will get one off to him right away. Thank you Chanly, I hope it's a lengthy process. I would hate to see our name in the newspaper listing a sale date on our home. I don't know where we would go. I'm going to get my husband right now so we can get an email going with Mr. Dimon. |

And the 7500 bucks is because the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing over there. I really don't know what your exact situation is but sounds like you're ok....reason #1 is becasue you have been contacting them regularly and reason #2 is becasue you're underwater on the home (LTV) reason #3 if you need a #3 is because you want to actually stay in the house. Some people just walk out. |

All we want to do is pay! They just keep telling us not to pay, and we are getting further and further behind. Now they are threatening us with foreclosure because we haven't paid. It's a mess. More than anything, we want to stay. And next to that, we don't want our reputation in our community to be smeared in all the local papers under the foreclosure section. We have kids in school and this would be devastating in our small town. |

We went in search of catching up on that one payment. Then the lady, told us how to go about getting a modification. We thought it was great that we MAY actually qualify and were excited about possibly getting a lower payment. Why not?! |

I am saying this site is for people that need help...that is all I am saying. It is about life, and saving homes not about what people think. I apologize if I rubbed you the wrong way..but, from your post it sounds like you don't need help. |

What are your thoughts Rachel P This is a site for people who are trying to stop foreclosure and save their house, I think you were perfectly appropriate to ask for advice here. We are all trying to save our homes, whatever way that can be. I hope that you have not been made to feel out of place because you can afford to make your payments, that is a good thing, right? This site is bringing people who are struggling with Chase together to exchange information. I hope you are able to find the info you need and good luck on saving your home! |

Chase has sure taken us for a ride. Thank you for your apology Liz. I did think you were very rude with your comments. I appreciate you apologizing. We made some small progress today. We were able to talk to a "higher up" and they acted shocked when we told them what we've been through. Our case has been put on an urgent list, but who knows how long that list is. So far, and this is the first time I've ever been able to say this about Chase, we've been very impressed with Chase today and their attention to our concerns. We are hoping and praying that the foreclosure process does not go any further. I will let you know what happens, and will be happy to share names and numbers of those who prove to be most helpful. |
