In April, while I was still current, (un and under employed for a year and a half, exhausted all reserve funds) I applied for a Chase Mod via the info provided to me on their website. They received the packet, and I gave them time, and started calling. Got all the usual, it takes time, etc., but I kept calling! In June, I heard an ad for 995Hope, gave that a shot, but that just seemed to be a push for CCCS. I did send in a new Mod packet, as an update, suggested by them. Still called, same response, kept calling. In July, started to fall behind, started getting The Letters from Chase, called, explained we were waiting to hear on the Mod, etc. Of course, they wanted their 7k NOW. In the meantime, got a letter from Genworth, the provider of my PMI, they were working to help Chase by taking Mod apps, doing an analysis, and making recommendations. Did another app, (am really good at this now) started the calling process with them. My analyst told me mine would be reviewed in about 2 weeks, I explained about The Letter I received from Chase and that I would be in foreclosure shortly. She gave me a number to call @ Chase, saying I could be pre-qualified, and since they were working with Chase, I should try it. I did, and got a qualification for the Obama Plan, have to pay on time for 3 months, and would then be re-analyzed. So, we are still in a process, but it does give us a breather, credit score is in toilet (I had brought it way up from a bad time), but I am going the Dave Ramsey route after this! I will keep you all posted on how it goes in 3 or so months (sometimes 4 months as I am reading on the forum!) Best of Luck to Everyone! Celtica |
