Is this good news with chase/emc?

Two weeks ago we made our usual follow-up call and were denied a modification with EMC due to insufficient income (after waiting for an answer since October of 2008). I believe the only reason we even got an answer was because of complaining to the Executive Office. We have never been late with our payment (until this month).

Anyway, we decided to call to follow up as to why we didn't receive our written notification of denial in the mail. The rep. told us that our file was resubmitted due to the executive office's orders. Could this possibly be good news for a change? Any advice or similar experiences are welcomed. This entire process is driving us crazy

Also, if anybody has been late, how does your statement show it? Any late fees, etc? Thanks

Re: Is this good news with chase/emc?

Stressed:

First learnt about my denial on 7/30 through one of my weekly phone calls. Denial supposedly was based on insufficient income and I was told a letter was sent out to me the previous day. Have not recieved any such letter to date. Contacted ET by email on 7/30 and asked for reconsideration. Was informed on 8/6 that I was again denied for insufficient income and that a letter was generated on 8/5 and sent to me. Have not received any of the promised letters to date. The rep intimated that it may help if I submitted my husband's financials to show the entire household income even though I was the only one on the loan. Resubmitted additional financials to include my husband on 8/10. Adjusted gross income went up by $1500 by including my husband. Called on 8/14 and was told file still with underwriter. Since the second denial came much quicker, 4 days, not sure what to make of the fact that no denial was issued last week. Will see what happens this week.
