I tried the first time in March because my wife took a paycut and even though we were current we knew we were going to have trouble making the payments. I was turn down they said because i was short each month by a few hundred dollars. I then went to Hope Now in May to see if they could help me. Well i was declined again in July because i was a few hundred short each month. I was still current at that time also. I was running a few hundred each month short didn't include any kind of reduced payment on my mortgage. If they did reduce it i would be positive every month. I am now working with NACA, but i had no choice but to let the payment get behind for July and August. Im not sure if NACA will be able to do anything for me since i have an FHA loan. We have been with them almost a month but still haven't made any proposals to Chase. I can see why a lot more people are starting to just walk away from there homes. I have to admit im getting so frustrated that at times im ready to give up also. Does anybody know of, or heard of anybody getting a loan mod through Chase lately? I haven't seen very many positive stories here lately regarding Chase? Any help appreciated. |

Hi dtap57, There is actually a new program calledFHA-Home Affordable Modification Program (FHA-HAMP) for FHA borrowers that is supposed to come into effect tomorrow. You can read more on this program here: http://portal.hud.gov/pls/portal/doc...20FHA-HAMP.DOC

I just hope it helps me out, but when you have already been turned down 2 times my hope for help isn't very high right now. I wonder if i am better handling this myself or letting NACA handle it. I want to make sure that NACA knows about this new deal for FHA loans. |
