Going from city to city to help people get their loans modified. The major lenders are on site at these events and most do get to sit down and actually talk to your lender. It is wonderful. I cannot tell you how many people just sitting around me got 2% on their loan for the life of the loan. It will take you all day so plan on it. It is well worth it though to get some answers for once. You can get same day approval and if not then you will have an answer the next week. I didnt get the 2% I had hoped for after watching all the others but EMC did put in a proposal to the investor that will save us almost $800 a month. I cannot complain. I have a direct contact number to call on Monday to get my answer if they accepted it or not. We drove 5 hours to the event but like I said what is 1 day when you have been through all this struggle. So everyone please find the nearest city and give it a try. If you go to naca.com and watch the videos for the tour you will see what I am talking about. Its amazing. |

When I look at my file, the budget they supposedly submitted to chase (on April 24th) is nothing like what I submitted, although the proposed mod rate would be cool. When I call NACA these days they just say Chase received the paperwork, and don't call us, we'll call you. Today on a lark I signed up for the LA NACA meeting (which is a 10 hr drive from my home). When I submited, they asked if I was already working with NACA. I put in my member ID and they are asking me to submit all of my paperwork - no record that they are working on my case. I THINK THIS IS A SHAM. I THINK THEY (NACA) GET PAID PER PERSON THEY TALK TO. I HAVE NEVER NEVER HEARD OF ANYONE HAVING SUCCESS WITH THEM. Sorry for the caps, but Be Careful! |

It was truly amazing. The most important thing to me is being able to sit with a rep from your lender face to face that has the power to actually do something. There were plenty of reps there from all the major banks. Caldwell, When NACA submitted back in April did you follow up and check your submission online? You can check the status of your modification online. If you have a NACA id you should be in the system. I would suggest maybe sitting up another phone counseling appt and make sure they have everything. |

Is it actually supposed to show some kind of status? They did tell me they had submitted my file last month so I hope that is positive. I would be so happy to get a 2% for 5 years and would love to be able to talk directly to a "decisionmaker" from WAMU/Chase!! Maxie (on another thread here) said when she talked to someone at NACA they told her they had about a 62% (I think that's the number) success rate with Chase modifications, much higher with B of A since they have some partnership with B of A. |

I can tell you that Chase had a room full of reps there and ready to assist and since this tour kicked off one can only hope they will become more on board and the success rate will only grow. They told me at the event to go online and check my status and also to call on Monday. I went online and my status now says File Submitted to Servicer. You may want to check with them and ask why yours doesnt say that. I did a little research of my own and Lasalle Bank was bought by Bank of America. My investor is Lasalle Bank. EMC rep told me that Lasalle Bank doesnt participate in the MHA program. So today I called the Hope Hotline and was told No they dont but they are under BofA and they do participate. So now I have some more questions but either way I am happy that I got to sit down and talk to someone and it really did give me hope after attending the event. |

Last I called for a status check they said not to call them - that they submitted a modification proposal to Chase on April 24th, that Chase said they were reviewing it, and that they (NACA) would contact me if there is any info. The guy was pretty discouraging but now that I think of it maybe he was having a bad day. I hope you are right Evan. I hope I get some different info tomorrow. I would drive 10 hrs to a workshop in LA if there was any hope I could be helped. I'm going into default this month and it is totally against everything in me to do so but Chase has been a nightmare. (You might have noticed I've been posting alot this weekend. I am crazed.). Barbara |

But I need to figure out where I am with them and they just aren't responding. It's pretty frustrating. I'll be very interested to hear your results. Thanks again. |

Go to NACA.com and watch the video on the home save tour that should explain alot for you. If you click on the home save tab it will show you the process to go through them. I am trying them and going through EMC by myself. I figure it can't hurt to have two things going at once. So far no news but I will keep you posted. |

When I do this I get to Step 5 and at the end of the description of the Step it says "Pending" for our file. The next Step for us is "Submitted to Servicer" and maybe we will get there someday BEFORE we are saying "Oh yea, I remember that house we used to live in!" Hope this helps! |

So that leaves the rest trying to handle all the phone calls and emails. From my understanding it is taking longer to get a phone counseling session as well. If you want to talk to them that would be my suggestion is to schedule a phone counseling session and when they call you can discuss whatever you need to. |
