A new life without chase

well we have taken the plunge and we are walking away from our home we went to get an apartment and got approved. we have the house up for sale but I doubt we will find a buyer. we are tired of chase and thier games and it's stressing out our marraige and the children are even getting stressed because we are. i will hate to loose my home but i am glad i am loosing chase and i hope to never get them again. i want to thank everyone for thier stories and for getting me through these tough times i have learned a lot. we are now going to live stress free and save money and next time we buy a home hopefully it will be with at least half down so our monthly payments won't be so high. good luck to everyone

hi we too walked away from our home let it go back to chase..we are renting a duplex..we got tired of the runarounds with chase and we too were getting stressed out over it..my husband and i both decided that it would be in our best interest to walk away as you did and not have chase under us..and if we ever buy another home again hopefully we can pay for it in cash and not have to worry about making payments on it nor worry about foreclosure and so foreth..in the long run i think we made the right choice knowing this we are now less stressful and no longer have to worry about chase and their stupidity people like alot of you have said in the forums chase doesnt know what the right hand is doing they dont keep anything on record or post anything they keep saying their computer is crashing and so foreth...well im glad a few of are makeing the choice to walk away from them..
good luck to all who have chase as their so called investor or whatever..and good luck to all who dont have them anyway ...GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE...and thank you for letting me tell my story on here ..and im sure as i read on i will vent some more..LOL knowing me i will tell all once again thank you...

You have to do what you have to do to protect your family. That is #1 and we ALL need to understand that. Especially if we have kids.

wow i think a lot of people have walked away from thier home. hopefully chase is the only one doing this i have not heard of other banks besides chase and countrywide messing people up. a friend of mine has another no name company and their mortgage was cut in half the first time no trial modification not waiting they got approved over the phone sent in paperwork and started paying their new mortgage the next month i wish it was that easy.

I'll also be riding the "I paid for rent with my credit rating damage" wagon until the Sheriff tells me to leave. Either that or Chase will send a Permanent MOD package, not some "delay the inevitable" forbearance agreement like they just sent me.

that is so true i think we are going to be truly happy we are going to pay half of what we were paying. we will be moving into a one bedroom apartment but as long as we have a roof over our head and food on the table and we are together who cares.

i agree with you hodgini..a home is where you laugh and live and love ...and i also agree with snoop as well..as long as you have a roof over your head and food on the table at least you are together and that what matters...homes are a dime a dozen and they are easliy replaced but a family isnt so easy...and i wanted to keep ours together...this will a whole new experience for us but we will manage..and as long we dont have to deal with chase we will overcome this ordeal and live happier and healthier..

oh by the way Moe...chase doesnt care about family either telling me that my husband and i needed to get second jobs and rent out our third bedroom and let our truck go back...i think not ..just wanted to add that in...

So true, chase could careless about us, we are just numbers on a piece of paper to them. I had one of the chase collectors tell me to file BK because I have to much debt. Then I told her I would be able to live in the condo longer for free than I am now. She was quite for a moment then said well you will then be at the end of line.

Like I say all the time, the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing at chase.

snoop78, So far I have co workers and friends on have had mortgage problems with GMAC, Deutsche Bank and Well's Fargo...

Looks that way by how hard they are working with us to keep us in our homes.

So far I am still waiting to here a good loan mod that has come from chase...
