Very Interesting Response From Chase...

So last night I thought I'd give the old Jaime Dimon email addy a shot a low and behold less than 24 hours later......

Original email and response below-

Dear Ms. Vallette:

Thank you for your email addressed to our Chairman & CEO, Jamie Dimon. Your comments are important to us. Your concerns have been escalated to our Home Finance Executive Resolution Group. One of their Specialist will be in contact with you over the next few days.

Sincerely,

Harriet Thatch

Executive Specialist

Subject: Is Today's Chase Being Accountable and Responsible?

Dear Mr. Dimon,

I’m sure you have your hands VERY full but have you seen this? http://www.loansafe.org/forum/chase-...r-chase-story/

We are all Chase mortgage holders following your corporation’s instructions to the letter and getting NOTHING in terms of answers and/or solutions! I can’t believe Chase would let this get so out of control.

If you and your teams are in any position to help and make good on the modifications after the 3 month plans have been satisfied, PLEASE, PLEASE do so. This is just crazy!! We’ve all met the terms set forth. Why is nothing moving forward and our homes going back into foreclosure?

Best Regards,

Jennifer C. Vallette

Anyone else getting a response from his office?

PS. The only time something happened quickly for us (other than these last 2 weeks) was 24 hours after contacting the home executive office!!!

Re: Very Interesting Response From Chase...

I also e-mailed Jaime Dimon. Got the same e-mail response AND then received a folowup letter letting me know my request for a loan mod was being "investigated" and someone would followup with me.

Looks like the CEO is just kicking stuff downstairs and we will probably wind up where we started (back on the telephone asking for a status).

Not trying to rain on your parade. But, I respectfully suggest you keep your umbrella close by.

Re: Very Interesting Response From Chase...

I also emailed Jaime Dimon last Sunday and got an email response and phone from a member of the executive response team. He told me that he was told to expedite the processing of my application. A quick background: In late April 2009 I submitted
my loan modification application with all supportive documents. Six weeks later I
received a letter requesting docuents that I already sent and over the nest 60 days after calling weekly I kept getting the response that my documents (proof of house insurance, house tax verification) were not received. I again faxed and sent via certified mail duplicates of everything, but still had no progress on the status of my application. I was considering hiring a loan modification attorney to assist but I cannot afford one. After reading several postings on this site I decided to try an email to Mr. Dimon. I am still hopeful that some progress will be made, my last conversation with them indicated that my file was updated, whatever that means.
Best wishes to everyone.....

Mountain,
I think was is happening (was told this by one of my negotiators) that the phone and fax lines are getting crossed and the fax's are all electronic (not hard copy)and many pages of documents we sent in are being corrupted and lost. My negotiator only got the first 3 pages in her PDF of my entire file. I had to refax to her fax machine the whole thing over again. I do think this is why everyone is having to refax over and over. Thats technology for you! I am sure their systems so overloaded, it crashes too.

Re: Very Interesting Response From Chase...

SW,
No problem ranting. Thats what this place is for. I do understand PDF documents. The faxes are all going to a central efax numbers, stored and then converted to PDf files. I dont believe much anything Chase says but it is plausible corruption of files can occur especially in light of the massive amounts of documents being faxed to them everyday. I see my insurance company doing this for Explanation of Benefits they post on-line. They are often files that are not what they are suppossed to be and mislabled for the wrong person. Its incompetence or files lost to the netherlands.

Re: Very Interesting Response From Chase...

Snapple and SW:

I just hope that whatever was the cause of documents being lost, CHASE will begin to more efficiently process our modification applications. It is pure misery to wait and wait for some word of progress from them! Perhaps (and I admit I am an idealist) the executive response team will be true to their word and expedite the processing of my application. I am current on my loan but it is very difficult for me; all I want is what everyone else on this forum wants: to be given an opportunity to modify our loans to continue living in our homes. It has been a week since I have heard anything, so tomorrow I will call again for some word of progress. Good luck to everyone!

Re: Very Interesting Response From Chase...

My experience with the exec response team is that they are professional and better than most about returning calls, but are as clueless as anyone else about the home affordable modification program. Two of them gave reasons for denying the modification of my Fannie Mae loan that were completely out of line with the guidelines (my mortgage is less than 1 year old and "already" is a 40 year mortgage) They were really clueless when I pointed out the guideline language to them. I hope they have done a better job of training and can get thier act together. Good luck.

Re: Very Interesting Response From Chase...

I have also contacted the executive team and they are not helpful in resolving my situation. I received a letter from them stating that they will investigate. I have completed my 3 months trial and Chase is just stalling. They said that they are undergoing a system update and do not know when it would be completed.
From read other postings a lot of people have just recently be denied due to "insufficient income". So, I am pestimistic that anyone will receive their permanent modifications. I am just waiting for my denial of "insufficient income". I've given up...

Re: Very Interesting Response From Chase...

As I have commented in previous posts, I was initially pleased to be contacted by the executive response team. My representative was very professional and told me that his goal was to expedite the processing of my application. After two probative phone conversations with him, he had representative (?) from loss litigation call me. This representative seemed to have thoroughly reviewed my application and asked me to fax in some recent paystubs since my application was submitted in April 2009. I was left with the impression that perhaps something is being done?
I then got another call from the executive response team the following day who told me he was just waiting now for the updated paystubs to complete my file for a workout submission .
I am still hopeful! Good luck everyone.

Re: Very Interesting Response From Chase...

famlena,

my 'insufficienct income' denial was during the application process......after reapplying yet again, I finally (18 mos in the making....) received the trial mod package.

We have yet to make our 1st payment on it (due 8/15), and am hoping that this 'system update' mentioned takes place long before our October final payment is posted.

Are you continuing to make the trial payments even though you finished the trial period?

You and a couple others seem to be the front-runners in this modification world, please please please keep us posted about how your situation progresses?!?!

Don't give up hope just yet Famlena...those of us who were denied due to insufficient income were denied from even getting into the program to begin with. None of us have been given the option of making trial payments. If you have already got to the point of where you have made trial payments than there is still a lot of hope. Hang it there.

Re: Very Interesting Response From Chase...

I agree. Keep fighting. I'm just going into default this month after 7 months of negotiation and 3 months of working with the executive team and getting bogus denials that I have to repudiate (the last one was last week). The woman at the executive team is quite nice, gave me her personal e-mail (so I scan and e-mail docs to her). But she seems to be just the nice lady in the middle. I have never had the opportunity to speak with my "negotiator." The exec team person even said she understands, is praying for me, and that she is trying for a loan mod for herself with a different bank! There is a whirlwind of ineptitude at Chase and we all are caught in the middle.

By the way - what is Jamie Dimon's e-mail?

Caldwell:
Jamie Dimon's email address is: jamie.dimon@jpmchase.com
Also on today's Huffington Post web site there is an article on " Mortgage Modification: Obama's Admininstration to Shame Mortgage firms." The article reports that mortgage companies are failing to comply with the government's intent to ease the housing crisis by failing to quickly and efficiently approve modifications. So to "shame" and force the 31 participating mortgage companies( Chase is one of them) to comply with the government's guidelines they will publish the names of the companies that are failing to adhere to the guidelines, perform audits on those companies that are not complying and also require them to give written explanations when they deny a loan modifications........
Maybe this mjay be helpful to all of us.

Re: Very Interesting Response From Chase...

Thank you everyone for your encouragement. I will continue to make the modified payments. I was really considering not submitting the next payment but now that I understand that the denials were before the trial period then Chase may possibly send out permanent documents. I understand how frustrating it can be and I have been requesting for modification for over a year and was finally set up for the trial payments in May. I will definitely keep you posted. I do not qualify for the Obama program because my loan is own by an investor. Good luck...

Sorry, I am fairly new at this forum and do not quite know how to navigate through it. Hopefully, you will see my post. Again, thank you for words of encouragement.

Just because there is an investor that is not the reason for nonqualify, It is most likly bercause the investor just is not participating in the Bomba deal, but the GOV is encouraging all investors to participate, and by or on SEP 15 there are suppose to ber some major changes...

Hey everyone on this post - fyi. I sent letters to my congressman, senators and the president last Friday (first time ever in my 60 years of life). Got a call from the congressman and one of the senators, who is "opening up a case" for me. Never expected that. I'll keep you posted - but more likely the posts will be on my thread, which is Wamu/Deutsche bank.

Good luck to everyone!
