I've called so many times. The Pres. of Chase needs to take a stand and oversee his staff. I completed my obligation and Chase is in hiding... They are clearly talking out both sides of their mouths... |

Unfortunately I dont think Chase or any other Bank have any intentions of permanately modifying loans under MHA. I dont recall seeing any "true" success stories in any of the forums. |

It PROBABLY states something like (amounts are changed): 2. Your Obligation: Your obligations under this Agreement are as follows: a) Initial Payment: On or before the O8/14/09 you shall pay Chase Home Finance $9,999.99 b) Monthly Payments: Starting on 09/01/09 and continuing on the 1st day of each month thereafter until you shall pay Chase Home Finance, the regular monthly installment in the amount of $9,999.99 and the arrearage amount of -$5,555.55 (monthly amount they are forbearing), for a total of $4,444.44 (net monthly payment you must make) and the regular monthly payment hereafter until final maturity as stated in the Loan Documents. My POINT is, re-read the LAST sentence. If you cannot make the regular (original) monthly payment, call the agent who set you up on this plan FIRST to request another forbearance agreement. I have been told by several agents they can no longer actively work with another agent's file. If they aren't there anymore, fax them on thousand faxes (if you can for free) or just keep calling for ANYONE who will answer... Secondly, IF you don't care about your credit rating AND you cannot make payments AND are upside down (equity versus debt) and are willing to push Chase to the brink of foreclosure.... Stop making payments (if you have not already done so). From that point, you should be able to get their attention and receive a new temporary forbearance agreement, until they can get their act together with a permanent Mod offering. |

I don't think any bank wants to do anything that is proactive. I would wait untill it is on the brink, save as much money as you can in cash and wait untill they call. It has to come to a push coming to shove situation and it will be last minute I am starting to become convinced. If they don't want to deal in the end, and do in fact foreclose then you'l know it was a hopless situation to begin with and look at all the cost free living you had and stashed cash. Like I have stated in previous posts, whenever they call, I pretend to be not too interested in living here anymore, and never a please please help me tone of voice or desperate. Its all recoded on tape and as you speak you will hear a keyboard clicking away. |

Wow- this is NOT what I like to hear as I am JUST starting our trial period payment plan. And who is this Jaime Dimon person anyway? Someone that helps or gets answers? I would think that he/she has rerouted or changed their email address as I couldn't imagine the amount of mail they may be getting. This is crap that I'm not sure I'm willing to endure. My home is important to me yes, #3 on the list behind family and job but there's no way I'm gonna hire a lawyer or spend my free time faxing. The way I see it, the bank and I are helping each other. I get to keep my home and they get to not worry about another under-valued, 100K loss property that by the time they get around to selling it will have many $$$ worth of damage. I live in a very unforgiving climate. If I go, the pool & spa and it's pebble tec go green and crack, the landscaping dies and the city fines them for a green, mosqitoe infested pool. |

They are all in a huddle trying to figure out how to take the next step in this cluster fk. I just made my 2nd MHP trial mod payment. I am entirely prepared to walk at some point because I dont expect a good outcome in the end. I think the final terms will be sht. As much as I like your idea hodgini about the electronic guerella warfare, it may not be effective since it is all done electronically and put into pdf files. Many people files or portions are being lost because the system is full of corrupted files and not operating correctly. This is why people have to refax their stuff over and over. Now if you know its a hard copy paper fax number...that is another story. It does get their attention. I think firefighter originally was referring to MHA trial mod program, not forebearance program. |

Has anyone been contacted and/or contracted by a producer from the media? Either National or Local? Many are monitoring this site heavily. |

I am doing the same, stashing cash, paying off debt. When I do walk I will be debt free and will go rent. Afterall living in your home, making payments, do you really own the place. FICO is no big deal, I filed BK in '93 and turned my mid score to 748 four years later. I think we are stuck in this country living and dying by FICO. I have to say after this mess with chase and CC droping my credit lines and raising interest rates, I am done with credit. Cash or debit card or I don't buy it... | |
