| Re: confused Hello and thanks for joining the forum! This is typical boiler plate collections right here. They know you pay on time and that is why they are pressing you for cash. They assume you will do whatever it takes to pay that mortgage so you don't have a late on your credit. The Chase reps are trained not to help people like you because they are so many homeowners in much dire straights. Everyone gets this same run around that you got. I actually know of homeowners who have been at this for over a year with Chase and yes, they are a year late and still living in their homes. You will get help, but most likely down the road after a couple months or so. Just prepare for this and you'll be fine mentally to deal with this BS that IS going to happen until you are done.

| Re: confused Moe - my story is on another thread (Wamu/Deutshe), but I'm wondering about this post of yours - I'm very very tempted to stop paying my mortgage and just go into default. They have given me an incredible runaround. I have NEVER been late, but maybe I need to be in order to get some straight talk.. |

| Re: confused Sorry to hear your situation. If you read through some of my posts, and I think alot of them got grouped together into one thread, I had to miss payments (to become 60 days late) intentionally. I was late by about 2 months, then made the mistake of bringing the loan current with my tax refund. Thinking this was the best thing to do as I have been programmed over years past to always pay for the house no matter what. Well loan is current, great! Only problem is that I still can't make the regular payments becasue I cant afford it. I band aided the problem. My mortgage assistance process stopped as soon as I paid. Once again had to become late and stick to my guns and now have the "trial mod" everyone here has been offered. Like everyone else, will see what happens at the end of the trial period. |

| Re: confused Thanks briknope. I'm one step closer to just stopping my payments (which are putting me way in the hole anyway). Just got a letter saying my ARM will adjust up on Sept 1. If I stop paying in September, then I'll probably at least be able to stay in my house through one more holiday season. |
