Hello lost at "C"
I was watching a show "I believe it was CNN" said that now many homeowners are under in there mortgages-house-apartments, and you have to do a credit check on the owner of the home as well as they do one on you. Because many families have been put out on the street by a knock on the door and told... the bank is the new owner NOW and they have to leave the property. Many have voice they have paid there rent but the owner has not paid the bank. So now the RENTERS have to chase there landlords that probably have no money. wow THIS IS CRAZY... Let pray we do not have to go this path. WE ARE FORCED TO LIVE LIKE THIS. The world is in a panic and the banks are making it worse. its like a domino of hell.... that we cannot get controll of. Because each bank wants to out do anyone and everyone.

Re: New Thread - Reporting 3 Month Trial Updates

Update this morning from my mod company and she told me still no plans yet after the 3 trial payment plans are done.

I still have not been set up on the plan and at this point.

I have been talking to homeowners who are renting out homes and most of them have told me when they look at credit reports but they are not looking at home forclosures. They understand what is going on with housing and if you are keeping up on all other bills that does show you will be a good tenant.

I look at this way, excellent credit got me into this mess and I have now learned my lesson. Git rid of all my CC and use my debit and if I don't have the cash, then I don't need it...

Re: New Thread - Reporting 3 Month Trial Updates

I just called chase to get an update and they did recieve my forebearance but they also told me that we are 4 months past due and they will be doing the foreclusure procedures until the last payment is made in august. I am wondering will they send a sheriff to our home in the meantime because at this point I feel like I cannot trust chase anymore. by the way I spoke to a women named jazmine someone who does not speak english clearly

Re: New Thread - Reporting 3 Month Trial Updates

Ooohhh JAZMINE! You're dealing with THAT scumbag? Tries to intimidate you, she's pretty nasty. She lies/re-interprets your statements in the file notes too!

You're still answering all the incoming calls apparently. Use VoiceMail.

After you get a different/decent person to work with, get their extension #, ask for their current hourly work schedule and ONLY call/work with that one person. Stop answering those automated inbound collection calls, for peace of mind.

RE: Continuing to make modified payments, here's MY take.

IF I have a contract in writing signed by Chase (MY REQUIREMENT) and IF the contract clearly states they will not foreclose providing I make the payments per the contract AND I can afford the payments, I will follow through. I will be ready to file legal action if THEY reneg on their end of the contract. In my case, I have nothing to lose but a house that's $400k upside down (according to them).

Having said all that, I will be looking/asking for the contracts to clearly state the maximum length of time this temporary contract will be permitted to run, with terms regarding remedies should Chase not timely complete their end of the agreement (permament modification? or ???).

What do all of your contracts say regarding length of time and remedies?

It sure would be nice if someone posted a sample contract here (with names, addresses and loan numbers blacked out of course!).

Re: New Thread - Reporting 3 Month Trial Updates

Hodgini, Did you just recently get a letter from the tax assessor dated in July about your decrease in prop values. I was 387,500 last year and now 316,500 this year. Condo in Mission Viejo...

Re: New Thread - Reporting 3 Month Trial Updates

Not yet! Hopefully, I'll see it shortly. My Ex wife pretty much screwed up all the mail. Even still, the website's tax bill still shows LAST year's property tax bill. I'll keep looking and THANKS for the good news!

Re: New Thread - Reporting 3 Month Trial Updates

My first payment for the 3 month trial started on May 1 2009. Sept. 1 was my 5th payment... I called Chase and they said that they are starting to sent the permanent modification this month. I'm still waiting.
