I am sure everyone has been reading all the latest in the News and how banks are just not inclined to do very many loan modifications, if at all ! And, it's evident from the forum that we are all having difficulty making any headway. So, the question is ... what are we to do, if we can do anything at all? I started my loan mod in March and had the same problems as many of you. I called, wrote letters (The Office of the President of the U.S. and the president of Chase) and here I am in August still waiting to discuss my case. They say that the program is for those with hardships and being unemployed is certainly a hardship. However, as the months tick by and the delayed payments accumulate, I still can't find a bank that is hiring ... Yep, I am in banking, or was ... and not a word from Chase Customer Care Department nor from the Executive Resolution Group. So, what the question is . . . what can we do? Is there anything else that we can do? Or do we just sit and wait it out? I tried to address my 1st Mtg (WAMU/Chase) in advance of my 2nd Mtg (Private Purchase Money w/ Realtor) which is due and payable this month. And I am not sure what to say to her to not alert problems with the first ??? As a Realtor she may try to foreclose and then what? If the 2nd is purchase money can the Realtor go after us or attach our home in another state? (See unanswered message dated July 26th) Thank you for being there as much as you are. I know it's voluntary and it's appreciated. napamac |
