That's right since the offer of 40 yrs and lousy terms needed to be thought about. Lender says house was sold 7/2/09. Realtor arrives at doorstep next day saying they have the listing. Contact with "Escalated Mortgage Foreclosure" Dept. Can you believe such cubicles exist? (Thanks for the number of the President's Office Loansafe) The lender states they will not rescind the foreclosure EVEN if we get current $40,000 TODAY. Which could happen since our "ship came in". Can they take back the property without posting on your door, certified letters, etc.? They did all that 6 mo. ago but then everything was suspended. This time nada. Now some realtor's Dad is knocking on the door wanting to know if we can leave in 2 wks. for cash for keys. I guess Dad evaluates the prop for clean up etc and his realtor son called and asked me what the prop is worth etc., but trying to push me QUICK out the door (My $2800 front door I paid for in full!) and running this drag about evictions are worse than foreclosure's, settlements, etc on your record. I cannot pack a 3 bdr. home 4 people have lived in for over 8 years in 2 wks! Plus, can they really do this w/out any paperwork for me? I know I've lost the war but I don't want to be victimized more than necessary. I feel like this last chapter is a chapter out of Confederacy of Dunces! I wish I could see the humor in this situation......... |

Still, it's July 2 when they say the house was "sold". So, why no letters stating date of sale etc. so we could at least establish a timeline or be able to offer to get current?? |

He said it's over and if we get slapped with a 3 day eviction to call him back and he will file paper for an extention. Good news, since we have no 2nd we will have no further pursuit from bank creditors. So now it's all about dimantling the house, deciding what to take and what to leave and GO. I have been deeply depressed, taking it much harder than I thought so leaving will do me well. It's been a terrible experience on so many levels. I feel like we folks have been through the biggest rip off in our financial history in the USA. So many lost fortunes and dreams of living a decent life. Keep your eyes open folks. Be kind to those in pain. Offer to help, even taking stuff off their hands helps. Offer to take their kids for cone. It matters. Thank you Loansafe for all you have done to support us all. Cristina |

I can feel your pain, I know it was hard first to let go of my house. All our savings and retirement went to my house and was very depressed too at times. But I did not stop fighting, I tried everything, crying, begging, requesting for loan mod and refinance but all denied. Finally I've requested for a short sale and it took time and months but was approved. I know it hurts during the first 3 months but now I am happy. I don't have to beg, depressed and be angry, At least I can look back and said I did my best. I am now at peace and promised myself never to buy a house again. You can do it too. I know you can, with the help of God and if you let Him and give it up and give it to Him. I know he can guide you and help you. Thanks for your courage and encouragement. God loves you and God bless you.
