    DOJ Mod with BONY as investor?

    Hello, I am back transferred to SLS for servicing. Received letter stating eligible for DOJ Mod. originally CW. Question has anyone received a DOJ Mod with BONY as the investor? They held up a interest rate reduction Mod before and I had to settle for an in-house that cost me more.

    Thanks for your time, Tucson John

    Specialized Loan Servicing and BONY

    Hello all, So does anybody know the details of the involvement of SLS and BONY in the DOJ settlement. Any insight would be greatly appreciated are they required to participate per the settlement or is entirely dependent on securities or is it discretionary. Supposedly i am in underwriting/review with them and all my eggs are in that basket.

    Thanks

    Hey John,

    That is a good queston, I'm not 100 percent positive but I do not believe there is any specific details of the settlement that pertain to either BONY or SLS servicing..

    SLS is one of the 9 sub servicers listed as eligible through BofA under the DOJ settlement.

    Here are the nine sub servicers eligible for the DOJ Settlement through BofA

    1. Bayview Loan Servicing
    2. Residential Credit Solutions
    3. Resurgent Capital Services (D/b/a Resurgent Mortgage Servicing)
    4. Nationstar Mortgage
    5. Specialized Loan Servicing
    6. Select Portfolio Servicing
    7. Vantium Capital
    8. Greentree Servicing
    9. Fci Lender Services

    You can download the BofA consent judgement and read through it here;

    It shouldn't make a difference if you are current, but it may make a difference in the case of a second lien if the loan is not both owned and serviced by BofA. You may want to try contacting the executive team at BofA just to ask the question about the eligibility since you are not getting the answers from Green Tree but keep in mind that the answer may just be generic as they most likely would not be able to look up your loan.

    It is worth a try to see, contact them here;

    Im with SLS from CW and BofA what a nightmare. I just received the trial letter we are 8 pymts behind. Was transferred from BofA at 3 pymts. SLS wouldn't take pymts from me for a few months. Finally one day when I called they said they would while I was going thru the modification process. Been giving them 1 pymt each month till they give me answers on the modification which has been taking forever to process. Finally a week ago I get the trial offer. Oct, Nov Dec trial payments permanent after that. Will reduce my principal $161,688.00 can't wait to see if that happens. Struggling to make the 1st pymt on Oct 1st thet didnt give me much notification. Ill keep everyone posted. What a roller-coaster-ride we all our on. I can't wait to get!
