You need to really annotate those bills. By that I mean write a note on them stating that since your relative still lives there, you still receive mail there. Do you have ANY bills that come to the place you now LIVE? Your file is more likely to raise some flags if you don't have ANY bills coming to that residence. Does it show on any credit reports as your address?
It really does not help that your tax return also reflects your previous address. Make sure to put a note on EACH document explaining this.
If they decide to deny, they do not ask questions first. You need to be proactive in getting your current residence documented somehow that they will accept. Do not believe the 'Village idiots' who are answering the phones.
They are probably able to run credit reports under the release that they got when you first applied for the mortgage.
