If a person stops paying on a credit card what happens will i end up in court?
Its possible...........
we quit paying all credit cards Oct 2009-was sued in Dec by citifinancial-now have a judgement against me and my husband.
Chase has also served both of us early Feb and again in March.-no judgement. yet from them.
From my experience they arent wasting there time going after you. You will defiantly get harassed by phone calls many many times a day and threatening letters.
We quit paying frankly because we just couldnt afford them, due to a 75% decrease in pay, also of the advise of our attorney for pre-Bk filing- (which got delayed from our mortgage mod) so we wont be able to file until June. (we paid our retainer fee in Nov) ugh!
also, some cards have just been "charged off" and i havent heard anything after-depends on how aggressive the company is
I would suggest trying to work out a settlement or repayment plan before letting it go this far. Once you fall a couple months behind they may be very willing to wok out an agreement with you..If a person stops paying on a credit card what happens will i end up in court?
Keep Fighting!

When debt is charged off it's shows as Zero on your credit report?
Is so does it help is lenders are looking at your min payments to see if you can do an-in-house modification?
Someone was denied in-house because the debt was too high and the total min payments were too high.
Advise please.
