I had a friend that was recently approved and it seemed TOO EASY. I have been going back and forth with GMAC and getting no where. I talked to her about it and she went online with Suntrust and filled out the forms and got the mod about a month later. They dropped her rate to 4% fixed, 40year and she was able to skip a payment.
