I am certainly not trying to be negative about NACA. I have just noticed that they have told a number of people similar things such as stop paying credit cards, etc. I got my loan mod directly through BOA, and while they took down my income and expenses, I was never advised to stop paying anything or turn in a vehicle...I don't know that it is a good idea for them to encourage people to be financially irresponsible...
