I have a family member who was put into short sale by SunTrust. She is now requesting the Trust Deed (They do not have it because they used MERS to electronically store the deed which I believe is unacceptable by real estate laws). She will find out more on July 2nd... So far the short sale has been stopped because of pending litigation and SunTrust is asking for more time to "find" the Deed.
