I knew I was heading into troubled waters 6 months in advance....I called my mortgage company and explained the hardship that was looming. They did not want to hear it.....took them 4 months to give me an unacceptable loan modification that did not address the hardship. I have the id# of the call in which the rep from India told me "You won't get any real help until you are two months late with your payment..." .

I am now heading into 3 months that I haven't paid the mortgage...which is very frustrating to me. I do not want to start with the partial payments, if they give me a decent loan mod, I will give them whatever I have saved in one lump sum towards the principal. Otherwise, I walk away.
