This is what I find unbelievable about this whole "loan mod" process:
1. The amount of misinformation that the reps give out when customers call.
2. The fact that so many programs are announced one after the other and advertised on the websites, yet all you ever get from the reps is the line "we won't have any information on how to implement that program for two weeks....". Needless to say, that "two weeks" never seems to arrive.
3. The fact that some homeowners miss one or two payments and are suddenly in "foreclosure" with actual sale dates that are only weeks away!! And they are in the middle of loan mods!!!
4. That the committee that is supposed to be overseeing this whole modification "program" for the government....is swamped with infighting and not holding the banks that were given bailout funds accountable for the shoddy way they are handling things.
5. The fact that "negotiators" and "reps" are in India! This galls me to no end...people who are probably paid less than minimum wage, living halfway across the world are deciding my fate and that of countless others involved in this process!!
6. That they will take less money from an "investor" when selling on the courthouse steps...rather than take more (but still less than the original mtg amount) from the original buyer!!!
