Re: I am trying to get a Mod. from CW.

taylor44,
you
This is just my experience, but I have had two conversations with Countrywide/BOA a week for the last six months....

I was never assigned a negotiator, and I went directly through CW. It took six months for the mod to be approved and docs to be sent. I called about a million times, and it did become a part-time job during that time. By the time we got the docs, we were 12 months behind. No sale date, not even in pre-foreclosure. I was told by the reps that the key was to get into review for a mod before you go into pre-foreclosure. Then, no further action against you happens (sale date, foreclosure, etc) while they are reviewing. If it goes to pre-foreclosure before you sign up for workout, there are no guarantees that you won't get a sale date. That doesn't mean they won't rescind it, but who wants a sale date?

This is just what they have told me, so take it with a grain of salt

Hang in there, if you haven't been denied you are still okay
